I'll be here for you

Chapter 13

I woke on Saturday morning thinking it was friday and when I walked pass my calendar the date finally sunk in. My date with Cody was tonight! I run to my Laptop and note it was only 9am. Damn if only I had woken up at midday the day would have went a lot faster. Oh well. 

I got dressed into my favourite green bikini with my denim shorts and a baggy white top over it knowing eventually at some point I will go for a surf before I go mad in this house. I have been really lucky for the past couple of weeks the weathers been really nice.

I went downstairs quietly because mum was still asleep and Dad had already left. I creep outside and head towards the beach. I head left towards a hill, I hadn't been that way before.

I run into the water eagerly paddeling out, I stop when I think I am out far enough and sit on my board while I wait for a wave. I go over a couple of small ones before a good one comes. I paddel hard and once I get on the wave I find my balance and stand up.

I get dunked by a couple of waves and by the time I have been out for what felt like an hour I willingly get out and go back to my stuff on shore. I lay my board next to me and start to drift asleep drying off in the warm sun, my body feeling tingly and refreshed.

"Ah! She's dead!" An all to familar voice giggles poking me in the ribs.

I look squirm to see Erin hovering over me.

"Hey!" I said "There will be no poking of the ribs" I giggle.

"Yay she's alive!" 

"Course I am, what brings you to the beach?" I ask sitting up as they both take a seat next to me.

"I saw you sleeping on the beach and decided to come chill with you, I get bored easily at home"

"Same, wanna go get some breakfast I havent had any yet"

"Sure" Erin smiles.

I wander over to the nearest cafe talking and laughing with Erin.

"Hey George, 2 cuppachinos and a banna bread"

"Coming right up" A man no older than 40 smiles at Erin.

"So does everyone know everyone around here" I ask taking a seat at a table.

She shrugs, "Depends its not a small community but not a big one either"

"I love it" I reply thanking George as he places my breaky in front of Erin and I.

"So what are you girls up to today?" George asks.

"Nothing much just wandering around, maybe the movies?" Erin replies raising an eyebrow at me.

"Yeah" I smile back.

"Well you girls have a good day"

"Thanks George" Erin smiles.

When George walks away and I take a sip I ask Erin "I have to go and get changed if we want to head to the shops and I'm not sure if mum is still asleep or not"

"Thats fine, I'll entertain myself"

I smile. After we finish breakfast we head back to my place, I cautiously open the door to find mum in a dressing gown drinking a cup of tea in the kitchen.

"Morning mum, I brought a friend today, hope thats ok"

"Of course it is sweetie" My mum replies planting a kiss on my cheek.

"Erin, Fiona, Mum, Erin" I smile as we start to head upstairs.

"Nice to meet you" Erin states politley.

"You too, so what are you girls up to today?"

"We are going to head up to the shops and see a movie, maybe wander around a bit, I'm just going to go and get ready"

"Ok you girls have fun"

I smile and wander upstairs, Erin trailing behind me closley. I pick out some nice casual clothes and head for my shower in my en suite.

"I'll be two minutes, feel free to go on the computer or something"

"Thanks" Erin smiles swiviling on my office chair.

I step out of the shower towel drying my hair to find Erin stairing at my computer screen jaw dropped.

"What?" I ask.

"Umm" She points at the screen.

'Oliviaa: I hear your going out with Cody, well good luck because if u do u will get hell from me, love you ;*'

"Great a threat"

"I wasn't looking through your facebook I swear, it was opened up when I logged on"

"No thats cool its set like that"

"Ok, well I wouldn't worry about it too much she's just trying to scare you"

"Yeah I know don't worry, shall we go?" I ask tying up my wet hair in a ballerina bun.

"Yup" She replies closing the facebook screen.

"Wanna share your tim tams?" Erin asks hopefully as we take our seats in the cinema.

"Nup" I chuckle lightly.

"You have a whole packet!"

"And you have your pod thingies, now shh the movies starting" I grin evily as the adds start.

"So what are you and Cody doing for your date?" She whispers.

"Not sure, he didn't say" I reply with a mouth full of tim tams.

"Hmm, well you are going to have so much fun, I just know it. You guys make such a cute couple"

If we wern't in the dark my face would be bright red.

"I guess" I smile
