School was now weird without Cody, I felt lost and empty. I have started stressing out A LOT with the talent show and stuff seeing as it was less than a week away. A girl in the year below me, Jen had been helping me while I was away. She has olive skin, brown hair, brown eyes and was really good friends with Alli's. She was my age, the reason for her being in the year below me was because she repeated Pre-school. She told me that while I was away yesterday Alli went over to her house that afternoon so they could finish up some things with the show. That was why Alli hadn't seen Cody in the hospital yet, but I assumed she got the memo. All the tickets had gone out to the students, the prizes were all ready, the stage was ready and Jen had already helped with putting up the posters the arty group had put together. I owed her a lot though she said it was no big deal but to be honest it was for me. The Talent show was practically done, I just needed to get a list of the people who were in it from Danielle or Jake.
Before the bell went for our first lesson of the day (mine being history) I told my group what happened with Cody and I. I also told them that I was visiting him this afternoon if anyone wanted to come, Danielle and Jake said they would.
"Hey Danielle do you have the list of the people who are going to be in the talent show?" I asked
"Yeah, here you are" she said passing a crumpled piece of paper it read:

“Xavier tried out?” I asked surprisingly.
“Yeah” Jake said “He is really good”
“Cool” I said opening the back pocket of my bag and slotting the paper in between some books. “So you know how Cody’s birthday is coming up soon?”
