That Friday morning when I walked through the front gates, I saw Cody talking Jake. The other day, Taylah was talking to her friends giving me a weird look. I had had enough and decided to talk to her and see what was her problem.
"Hey, Taylah we need to talk" I said to her.
"What?" she mumbled when she turned around to see me standing there.
"Well you have been a really good friend to me and I was wondering what your problem was just because I-" She cut me off.
"Look, you can take my friends away from me but you won't take Cody from me" She declared emphasising the 'wont' part.
"I haven't taken your friends away from you!" I could NOT believe she though that. "And incase you haven't noticed Cody doesn't seem that into you" I added.
"He seemed pretty into our kiss on the beach" She said with a smirk. That's when our conversation ended with Danielle came over.
"Then why have you been all over Xavier!"
"Who?" She smirks.
"Slu-" I growl at her being cut off by Danielle
"Hey Kate!"
"Taylah" She added with a nod, but Taylah just walked away rolling her eyes.
"Guess what?" Danielle said with a worried look on her face.
"What?" I asked slowly and curiously, not knowing whether I wanted to know or not.
"I can't believe I didn't think about this before but the whole year group has been invite to the bonfire. That means Taylah too!"
"Oh . . ." I said looking at the floor and furiously kicked a rock around.
"But don't worry I'll be there for you" she said with a warm smile. .
"Thanks"
"So have you finished your history assignment?" Danielle asks as we wander into 1st period.
"Yup, all ready to go, I just have to get Erin to sign off a bit of the paper and its ready for submission, i'm so scared!"
"Me too but I'm sure you did well"
"Hows your leg going"
"Getting better" I smile "Thats good, don't worry things with them will get better"
"Yeah I know" I sigh.
"Anyways good luck with your assignment I'll talk to you later" Danielle smiled as we entered into Math.
"See ya" I said taking my usual seat next to Cody.
"Morning beautiful"
"Hey" I smiled sitting next to Cody.
"Siiiiirrrr!" The groan of Jake echoed through the room.
"Yes Jake" Mr Maklay sighed.
"When do we get our test back?"
"At the end of the lesson"
"Oh god . . ." I mutter and Cody chuckles. I love how he is so chilled like nothings wrong. Like he has everything worked out or knows it will fall in place. I wish I was like that at the moment.
At the end of the lession we got our test papers back. Holding it in my hand I slowly flip the page over, the butterflies building up in my stomach.
"Great job Kate" Mr Maklay smiled. What.
I turn the paper over to recieve a B. A B!!!!!!
I squeaze Cody's arm.
"A B"
"What?" he asks puzledly.
"I got a B!" I say giving him a hug. His open arms so warm and I feel eyes burning into me but I don't care. I just wanted to stay like this forever.
"Good job!" He chuckles returning the hug.
"And I don't want to know what you got" I giggle.
"Ok" He chuckles back.
