It felt really good to have school out of the way especially Taylah. Yup 6 whole weeks of school holidays! This is going to be great!

I awoke up to the sound of my phone buzzing. I sluggishly rolled over and checked the screen.

*New Message From Cody*

‘Hey Babe, Jake and a few other mates and I are going down to a cove if you wanna come, Erin, Danielle, Sarah and maybe Jess said they would come too. I apologise if Alli and her friends come too :P Please come it’ll be fun. If you can come txt me back and i’ll pick u up at 10:30 xo’

I looked at my alarm clock and it read 10:00

I texted back

Sure I’ll see you then xx

I raced down stairs to have some breakfast and saw Dad in the kitchen making some breakfast and mum in the lounge room reading.

“Morning kiddo” Dad said ruffling my hair.

“Morning, are you on holidays now?” I asked while giving him a kiss and a hug.

“Yup only for 2 weeks though, do you want me to make some breakfast for you?”

“Nah Its ok i’ll just make some toast, oh yeah is it alright if i go with some friends to a cove?”

“Sure” He replied.

“Thanks Daddy” I said as I kissed him on the cheek and shoved the piece of toast in my mouth.

I ran back upstairs and put on a green, pink and white stripy bikini with a oversized white top, some washed out denim shorts and my white havaianas. On my way downstairs I pulled out a beach bag and shoved my towel, wallet and phone in the bag.

I then heard the doorbell ring.

“I’ll get it” I shouted dumping my bag and the front door and eagerly opening it.

“Hey babe” Cody said standing there.

“Hey” I said as I quickly planted a quick kiss on his lips.

Dad then came through the door waving at Cody’s parents in the car.

“Morning sir” Cody said happily.

“Morning Cody”

There was then a really awkward silence.

“Well shall we go?” I asked picking up my bag and slinging it over my shoulder

“Sure” Cody replied.

“Well you kids have fun” Dad said as we slowly walked away from the front door.
