Chapter 14

When I got home it was nearly 1:00pm. I got changed out of my swimmers and put some clothes for lounging around in on. I wouldn't be in them for long because I had to meet Cody at 6. I was just about to sit down on the lounge and watch T.V with my mum when my phone buzzed. When I looked it, I saw it was a text from Danielle. I opened it and read:

'Hi its danielle here is all the info you need to know about Facebook please go on as soon as you can and don't forget to change your password :D

After I read it I ran upstairs and logged onto my desktop computer. I was so lucky to have one although I would've preferred a laptop. Now I'm just sounding like a rich bitch...

I logged onto Facebook. It was so cool, nearly everyone that Danielle knew added me...even Cody. I uploaded a photo of my friends and I from Hawaii on the beach. I also changed my password and made sure I had no personal information like the year I was born and stuff like that. After accepting all my friend requests, I saw that Danielle was online.

"Hey" I typed "Thank you so much for helping me with Facebook"

"No worries" she replied. I told her all about tonight and invited her over to help get me ready.

"Sorry, I can't" She said. 

"Why not?" I asked.

"I have got family stuff on"

"Oh its ok" I replied "Well I better start getting ready, talk to you later, bye".

"Cya have a good time :) x" She answered back.

It was now was 5:15pm and I wasn't one bit ready. I tapped my nails on the counter and pondered on who to call. I proberbly should have put some more thought into this. Eh.

Though I did really need someone to help me get ready with, I didn't know what to wear and what to expect, so I called Erin to see if she could come over.

"Hi Erin its Kate" I said.

"Oh hi Kate whats up?".

"Uh well Cody and I are going out tonight and was wondering if you could help me get ready?"

"Sure" she replied "What time?".

"Uh - now" I answered with a laugh.

"Ok cool see you soon" She answered and then hung up. I ran happily half way down the stairs and yelled out to mum.

"Hey mum, my friend Erin lives down a couple of houses and is going to help me get ready for tonight!" I ran back upstairs to have a quick shower. A couple minutes later the doorbell rang and Erin was on her way up, I just had enough time to quickly put a white fluffy robe on around me.

"Hey" Erin said giving me a hug.

"Hi, boy am I glad to see you. I have no idea what to wear" I said rummaging through my wardrobe.

"Well what do think you want to wear?"

"I have no clue! I dont even know what we are doing!" I exclaimed.

"Hmm, well he will proberbly take you to dinner but let's see what you have first" Erin smiled as she oppened up my wardrobe.

Once there was a pile of clothes the size of Mount Everest on the floor Erin picked out my white mini dress and some nude heels and placed them on my bed.

"Perfect" she nodded in approval.

It was the dress that Sarah bought for me for my birthday and the heels that I got for christmas.

"Yes! Oh my gosh I totally forgot about that dress I'll be right back!" Erin rushed out of my bedroom as I got changed.

I opened the door to let Erin and turned slightly to show off my dress. We both smiled and walked back into my bedroom to do the hair and make - up. I sat down at my desk as she put a few curls in my hair.

"No peaking" She demanded.

I giggled as I closed my eyes and she set to work.

"So now that your going on a date with Cody do I get to pick my Hawaiian guy or . . ."

"Go nuts, I have a couple added on Facebook" I laughed. I hope she wasn't seeious.

"Yay! Thinking ahead were we?"

"No, I just like to talk to them sometimes" I shrugged.

"Cool, hey do you have any hairspray?"

"2nd shelf" I said pointing to my right. I had a little cabnit where I keep all my bulky beauty products.

"I should really invest in one of these shelves" Erin said as she sprayed some hairspray on my hair.

"Yeah, mum got sick of cleaning he bathroom in Hawaii cause I didn't have an en suite there and I have way too many bulky products"

"Me too!" Erin laughs as she spins me around. "Make up time, keep your eyes closed and I'll start in your eyes"

"Thanks for doing this for me"

"Ah no problem, you got me out of doing homework so I'm happy"

When Erin finished I looked up at my mirror to see I had mascara, eyeliner and a light pinkish, nude lipgloss on. It was perfect I stood up and looked at myself in a full length mirror.

"You look beautiful" Erin gashed.

"Oh my gosh thank you so much Erin" I said hugging her.

"No probs" she said with a smile "Don't forget to update me on everything after!"

"I will thank you and with perfect timing" I said looking at the clock as it read 5:55pm.

"Its ok! Seriously Kate, but you must tell me all about it tomorrow at school" She said emphasizing on the 'must'.

"Promise" I replied. Once Erin left I had just enough time to walk to the spot where I had met Cody for the very first time.

When I arrived I noticed a small restaurant that I hadn't seen before but that wasn't where he was standing. As I approached the closed beach I observed where I would be having dinner tonight and there he was standing perfectly wearing his skinny jeans, white top, his black leather jacket and high tops.

"Hey" he said as he slowly took my hand and escorted me towards the table.

"Wow you really have put a lot of effort into this" I said in awe taking it all in.

"I try" He smirks.
