That night I couldn’t get myself to sleep. Why was Cody acting so weird and telling me he loves me all the time. I mean I love him but I couldn’t quite help but notice he was tying to get something off his chest. I decided to text him as I glanced over my clock it read 10:15pm. He should be awake shouldn’t he? Meh.
‘Hey babe is everything ok? xo’
5 minutes later I got a call.
“Hello?”
“Hey babe can you meet me outside for a minute there is actually something really important I need to tell you”
“Sure see you soon”
Then the line ended. What could he need to tell me so badly in person. Was it good or bad? Should I be worried or...? I decided to erase any thoughts from my head and just go and meet him.
I opened my bedroom door and saw the light downstairs was still lit. Great. I opened my bedroom window and climbed out onto the roof. The only bad bit about sneaking out at this time is that my bedroom is on the second floor. I looked down and saw it was a fairly big jump. Now what? I looked around and saw vines growing about a metre away from my window. I slowly crept closer and saw that there were wood paneling behind the vines, a bit like heaps of tic tac toe grids lined up underneath each other. I took a deep breath and slowly climbed down them. Once I hit the foot path I looked back up and hoped that it was just as easy to get back up there.
I walked aimlessly around the beach and saw cody leaning against a pole.
“Hey is everything alright I-” I burst out saying only to be cut of by Cody kissing me.
“You know that I love you no matter what happens right?”
“Of course Cody I-”
“Even if we were a gazillion miles away”
“Yes! I love you no matter what happens!”
“Even if -”
“Even if what?....Cody what’s going on you have been acting very strangely today” I asked with a questioning glance.
“Even if I was half way around the world”
“Yes!! Why are you going somewhere?” I asked hesitantly.
“Not yet...”
“Yet?” I asked.
“Well...You know that guy from the record label?”
“Yeah.....”
“Well he has offered me a spot with their record label”
