I'll be here for you

Chapter 24

 It was Sarah's first day of school at All Saints today, so I decided to go to school with her as I didn't want her to feel as scared like I was on my first day, only knowing everyone briefly and not having any close friends was really scary. I woke up and found Dad was already at work, it was nice to see things go back to normal. I went downstairs and asked mum if she could drive Sarah to school with us today. Luckily my mum said yes and I went to call Sarah right away to tell her to meet me at my house once ready for school so we could go to school together.

Once we were at school we sat down with my friends. Cody and Jake was now sitting with us and the group seemed to be more comfortable. Taylah was now sitting with Xavier's group. Xavier had brown eyes and brown hair, he was also into singing and writing original songs. Taylah really liked him and he really liked her, but he found out about how mean she was being to me. He told her that he was more that happy to go out with her but her bitchiness towards me had to stop. That made my time with Cody and my friends at All Saints more comfortable. When Sarah had her interview at All Saints they asked her if she knew anyone that went here and she said that she knew me, she was then put into all my classes and Cody's homeroom.

During 1st period (English), Sarah sat next to me on my right and Mariah sat next to me on my left. I hated English, it was my worst subject ever. I got A's and B's in everything but when it came to English I got C's or D's. Mariah offered to help me with my English homework on Thursdays after school. I took the offer up and said I would ask and tell her later on Facebook weather I could go or not.

It was so nice to have Sarah here along with my other friends it made my life complete. Sarah, was very good at every subject. Like last year in Hawaii she came 1st in math out of our whole year. Thats 1st out of one hundred and fifteen freaking people! Also being a best friend, Sarah was my maths tutor too. We had a lot in common, same interests, and oh yes...we both played piano (though she was like in grade 5 or 6 and I was only just starting my prelim exams but oh well). We told each other everything and helped each other with anything.

Half way into the lesson Taylah seemed to have done no work and landed herself into trouble, she was told that until she finished her work she wasn't allowed to go to recess or lunch and would have to stay in. That was probably the only one thing we had in common. Though over the last couple of nights I had seemed to get in a bit of routine so it wasn't that bad, but still I wasn't perfect at doing it, it probably showed a bit on my report card. As Sarah used to say a bad report card leaves a wide road for improvement in the future. Which was true I guess. 

When the bell went for period 2 Cody came up to me, which was no surprise. I did have that effect on people...kidding!

"Hey Kate" He said to me with a smile

"Hey" I replied.

He was so sweet and we both walked together on the way to period 2. We talked about school and how cute Danielle and Jake were.

"They are a great couple" I said.

"Yeah they are, its just a bit annoying sometimes"

"Oh?" I replied "Why is that?" 

"He never stops talking about her, but I'm happy for them"

"Yeah....so am I"

When we arrived to our classroom and we took our seats, I sat next to Cody and Erin while Danielle, Sarah and Jess were opposite us. Though one thing that was odd about that lesson was that Mariah was late and when she arrived Taylah called her over and she sat with Taylah and Xavier. I didn't think much of it as they were all friends before I came to this school. Just because Taylah hated me, that didn't mean she hated the rest of the group and it didn't mean my friends had to ignore Taylah totally either. As time went by I kept on getting weird glances from Mariah and Taylah, it didn't bother me it was just a little bit weird, so I didn't look at them for the rest of the lesson and just kept my head down and did my work.
