I walked home yesterday smiling non-stop from the greatest school afternoon ever! Surfing with Cody was amazing, he is so chilled and relaxed and I can feel like I can be me around him and not care at all what I say or what he will think of me.
I was sitting in my usual spot, next to Cody waiting for the lesson to start. I was getting kind of worried Mr Maklay had greeted us and was neatening a pile of papers. Thats when I realised. Pop quiz. I was so glad Cody had helped me yesterday.
Ok breathe. Question one . . .
I nervously printed my last answer on the page. God I hope I was right, I'd look like an idiot if all that work with Cody didn't pay off . . . then again it was only one session . . . Before I had time to check my answers Mr Maklay picked up my paper and was off with a massive grin.
"Sir I haven't checked my answers!"
"I'm sure you did fine" He smirked.
I scowled at him before he went on to the next row.
"Ok now while I mark these papers please go to your textbook and open to page 243"
I look over to Cody and smile uneasily.
"How do you think you went?"
"Good...I hope" I giggle.
I bite my bottom lip as Cody and I set to work and all I could think about was how I went in that quiz and how to find the area of a triangle using Pythagorus Theorem.
Half way through question 3 I feel someone place a paper on my desk, I look up to see Mr Maklay hovering over my desk. I try reading his expression on his face but damn he had a good poker face.
"How did I-I go?" I stammer nervously
"I dunno you tell me" He replied in a robot voice earning him giggles and smirks from all my classmates. I roll my eyes and flip over the page.............................6 out of 10.
"Pass!" I breathed out.
I look over to see Cody smirking.
"6. Good job"
This is the best I've gotten in a pop quiz!
Ever!
"Thank you master Simpson" I said with a bow of my head.
He chuckles "You have still much to learn young one"
I crack up at his voice and continue to work.
. . .
Days went by with the same routine, wake up, go to school, get tutored by Cody and come home with an unbreakable smile. On Sunday night Erin, Danielle and I rode our bikes and met up at the movies.
"So do you guys wanna go to Coles to get some snacks, its a lot cheaper than the cinema food" Danielle suggested.
Erin looks over to me smiling knowing I will buy a packet of tim tams and not let anyone share.
"Yeah sounds good"
. . .
"Your such a pig" Erin joked.
"Oink" I smile caring 2 packets of tim tams, one plain and one caramel.
Cody and I . . . well mainly me had discussed Sunday was a tutor free day, other than that 6 times a week Cody has been showing up at my door to tutor me. Yes my house.
Yesterday when Alli came around she kept on annoying us and referring us to a happy couple. Hey I know thats what little sisters do but mum kept on teasing me about it too and it was getting a little annoying.
