I'll be here for you

Chapter 25

I had a lot of trouble sleeping that night and decided to go for a surf before school. I got up and was ready at 5am. The morning surf looked amazing and the sunrise in the sky was breathtakingly beautiful. I laid out my towel on the beach, took a quick sip of my up and go then headed into the surf. The water was cold but it woke me up gently which was nice seeing as it was a couple of days until summer.

I caught 10 fantastic waves in an hour and I stood up for heaps long too. For me that was a outstanding personal best but I still wasn't great at surfing. I saw a glimpse of Cody walking along the beach but I didn't really want to talk to him as I was still waking up and looked a mess. Though he waited for me to finish surfing which was sweet so I eventually got out and went to talk to him.

"Hello there" I said with a smirk.

"Good morning" he replied giving me a kiss on the cheek, yes I still haven’t kissed him on the lips but I want it to be perfect as its my first kiss, and thats a big deal for a girl.

"Your a pretty good"

"Me?" I asked "Nooo way, you just happened to see me on my best day, I usually can't surf for crap, I just love the water and thought it would be cool to try and have a go, you know?"

"Yeah...hey I could help you if you like"

"What now?"

"Yeah its only 6:15, school doesn't start for another 2 and a bit hours I'll just get my stuff and i'll be back in a bit" he said running back to his house.

"Ok, I'll be here" I said looking around.

As I turned around I saw my mum on the porch waving at me. I looked for Cody and saw he was only just walking inside to his place so I quickly jogged over to see what she wanted.

"Hey mum" I said.

"Hey you didn't tell me you were coming out here, I was worried and I looked everywhere for you"

"Sorry its just you were asleep and....... hey I did bump into Dad to tell him to tell you, didn't he pass on the message?" I said

"Oh yeah, he did say something to me its just I couldn't make out what he said because I was so tired...ok you go and have a good surf but be back in at a reasonable time so you can get ready for school"

"Ok mum bye" I said turning around to see Cody in his board shorts shirtless I forgot that my mum was behind me and I heard her say.

"Well doesn't he scrub up nice" my mum said winking. “Mum” I moaned. It was so embarrassing but I don't think he saw me blush which was a plus. I’m glad mum isn't mad at him any more for what happened on our date.

"Ok you can go now mum he is just helping me surf see ya" I said walking away from her towards Cody.

"Ello ello ello" He said with a cheeky smile.

"Lets go" I said as I nodded my head towards the beach. I knew he would do something like that to tease me, he did have a good body though why not show it off? Anyways I grabbed my board and we both walked in to surf.
