Bare Hands (Sequel To No Sympathy)

The next morning, Tris and I wake up at the same time. She sits up and runs her fingers through her hair.

Something tells me she didn't get much sleep last night.

Then she might've heard my conversation... The voice in my head tells me.

But I write it off as being paranoid. There was no way she heard us. She was asleep. I saw her asleep.

I need to stop being paranoid.

"You okay?" I ask her, mirroring her sitting position.

"Yeah just a dream." She flips her legs over the side and goes to put on her shoes.

I follow suit.

Once downstairs, I go to what looks to be a laundry room and pick out a black shirt and pants and quickly swap clothes. When I find Tris again it seems that she had the same idea, because she's now wearing a black sleeveless shirt with a zipper down the middle. We met eyes and then go locate Caleb and slip past the poorly armed guards at the entrance Edgar took us in through.

We do not look back.

Without saying so, we know that our destination is Candor. It is the only place we have a chance at being welcome, and our fellow Dauntless are there too.

When we're halfway there, Caleb stops walking.

"Beatrice, and I'm going to go back to Abnegation... See who's still there." He tells her. It's evident that he hopes she'll tell him to stay.

But of course she won't.

"I'd prefer you to stay with us so we could keep an eye on you, but you're free to do whatever you want." At least she's nice about it.

"Well I'll see you later." He says, and begins walking the other way.

Tris watches him go.

Yeah Yeah I know it's like short asf right? Yup .. I messed around and let it get to late and now I have school tomorrow and I must get sleep. So I had a choice..
