Am I the only one that loves the Allegiant soundtrack? I thought this song in particular worked perfectly for this chapter. It hurts my soul to remember the parts of the movie when Four was being neglected.. I must see that movie again.

After making sure Hector and the other girl aren't going to start walking towards the edge after they let them go, they proceed to get then off of the ledge.

Christina is walking next to Hector with the other girl trailing behind them. Tris is a few paces behind, her fist in her mouth. She look like she's about to fall out.

Without thinking I run back into the hallway in the direction in which I think Tris will be going.

I end up intercepting her in the hallway. She attempts to avoid me and I let her because I have an idea of where she's going.

And sure enough, she goes into my apartment.

I walk in after her and close the door.

"What happened out there?!" I ask frantically.

Tris turns around and gasps out: "It was a message...From Jeanine. She said that if I don't turn myself over to Erudite, she'd keep making that happen. It was exactly like we feared. Anyone who isn't Divergent can be used for this." Her words are running into each other and she looks like she's on the verge of crumbling.

"Tris, that is very unfortunate, but you can't-"

She cuts me off.

"I can't let anyone else die because of me." She says with a pained expression on her face. I know that she's referring to her parents and Will.

"Tris people aren't dying because of you. All of this is Jeanine's fault. Stop blaming yourself." I try to make her see the point in all of this. Jeanine is doing this on purpose : Guilt tripping her into going.

"But what if it's Christina next time or Shauna? What if I'm not there to save them next time?" Tears are flowing freely from her eyes now. "What then?!"

I sigh, feeling the tears ready to seep out of my eyes also. "The we'll deal with them accordingly. But you can't leave."

"You know I'm just one person." She's shaking her head. "I'm not worth it."

Im quick to cut her off.

"No you are worth it. You're worth it to me." I feel the tears getting ready to flow. My chest feels constricted, like I can't get air in. I have to make her believe me.

"You have to promise me that you're not going to leave." I say firmly, staring her down. "Promise me."

She grabs my face in her hands and pulls my face to hers.

I fit my mouth to hers faster than I ever thought possible and wrap my arms around her slender body.

I love her so much it's consuming my world and making it nearly impossible for me to consider a path that doesn't involve her in my life. I can't let her go; won't let her go. She's much too important to me. This might be the only selfish thing I've done in my life, but I'd take her life over a million others any day. I've waited too long for someone to trust, to love me for who I am and to support me that there's no way I'm ever letting it go.

She wraps get arms around me and backs up to the bed.

For just a second, I'm reminded of her fear landscape where I'm trying to take advantage of her in this very room, but then I remember that that was a simulation - that she wants this - and all thoughts of that nature disappear from my mind.

She backs us up until she's laying on the bed with me on top of her. I'd forgotten how much I missed these moments between us.

She doesn't plan to go any further than kissing this time around, and I don't want to push it, so after a while we both laid down and dozed off.

In between that state of sleep and dreaming, I realize that she never promised.

I hope you guys like that chapter!! It was very... Emotional. And that song.. Gosh darn. How you guys enjoyed it! And just so you know, the movie didn't even do this part justice... They added too much. Oh well! HAPPY READING!
