I wake from a dreamless sleep in what looks like the wee hours of the morning. I sit up, rubbing the sleep off my face.
                              And that's when I realize:
                              I'm alone.
The bed is empty except for me.
Tucking the gun on my nightstand into my waistband, I quickly put my shoes on and run to the door. But when I reach for my jacket, I discover that it's gone, too.
Which could only mean one thing...
Tris lied to me. She's probably halfway to Erudite by now.
I never should have gone to sleep. I never should've given her the opportunity to leave.
But when I go over the events of last night in my head, I remember something else.
                              She never promised to stay.
She evaded my question by kissing me, and I was dumb enough to kiss her back.
                              Stupid, stupid Four.
I yank my door open so forcefully that it nearly comes off the hinges and storm into the hallway.
Thankfully they're vacant. I'm not in the mood to stop and talk what I'm about to do out with anyone.
I walk as fast as I can through Dauntless, hoping that everyone stays wherever they are and doesn't try and stop me, because it won't end well.
Outside, it's rainy. Not a downpour but a slight drizzle. It makes it hard to see in front of me, but I can see well enough.
I know what I'm doing is probably very wreckless and something I wouldn't do in any other circumstance, and I probably won't even succeed, but I have to try. I can't let her face this alone.
It's not long before I see Erudite looming in the distance, when I do, I start to instantly walk faster.
Who knows what they're doing to her in there?!
As I near the building, I pull out my gun and stick to the more shadowy corners surrounding it. It makes no sense to barge in without a plan and risk not even making the slightest difference.
Figuring that they probably have cameras posted everywhere, I start searching for a side door to go into and pray that it's unlocked.
When I finally find one and yank the door knob, or is unfortunately not unlocked, so I'm forced to shoot at the hinges and hope for the best. After knocking my shoulder into it several times, it opens and I slip inside.
It smells a lot like a hospital, overly clean and antiseptic. The smell of rubbing alcohol fills my nostrils and I try hard to ignore it.
With my gun at my side, I go out into the hallway, making sure to check for cameras before going very far.
Most of the hallways I cross are empty, but a few have scientists or doctors milling around, perfectly oblivious to the adrenaline-filled Dauntless guy slinking around.
"Going somewhere, Four?" A snide voice asks me.
As much as I hate to say it, I'd recognize that voice anywhere.
                              Peter.
"Oh don't go mute now. What happened to that seemingly intimidating instructor from Dauntless?"
I ignore his comment. "Where is Tris?" I ask.
"Sorry, I'm not at liberty to share."
Right after he says this, I start to sense more people behind me. But just as I'm turning around to lash out at then all, a needle is being plunged into my neck.
                              I go down almost instantly.
                              +++
OOH WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?! The world may never know.... Hope you enjoyed this!!
