Thump!

"Get up!"

Thump!

"Ok ok God I'm up!" I groaned. "Stop throwing pillows at me!" I slowly lifted my head from the puddle of drool soaking the fabric beneath me and my face.

"Jesus Christ you look like shit!" Amy spat at me.

"Shut up. What's you deal anyways?" I rolled over brushing my matted hair from my face blinking several times trying to figure out my surroundings.

"Surprise surprise you came home wasted......again. How do you expect me to act towards you? Just wondered if you plan on going to work ever to help me pay our bills or are you going to drink your life away?"

"Isn't it a little early for this?"

"Not really its only 3 in the afternoon....on WEDNESDAY!"

I could hear her taking her anger out on the kitchen. Slamming cabinet doors and throwing things around.

"God Wednesday? How did that happen?" I said more to myself. I sat up rubbing my head.
"Jesus.... Amy look I'm sorry I'm? I know that doesn't fix anything but I am ok?"

She stopped what ever it was she was doing and rounded the bar quickly making her way over to me her finger right in my face.
"I'm going to tell you right now you have two options. One you come with me to London tomorrow for the Fashion awards this weekend or two I'm calling and flying your aunt up here. Your choice."

"What?" I stared blankly at her. It was then I really searched her face. She wasn't playing. I had to admit I have been putting my friend through hell lately. Her hair was disheveled, dark circles sat heavily under her eyes...she was tired from lack of sleep I'm sure.

"Amy...I...." She cut me off.

"No Joslyn! Two choices that's all you get. One or the other. London or your aunt." She crossed her arms over her chest giving me the stare.

"Can I ask why you are going to London first?"

"David sent me press passes for the fashion awards so I'm taking him up on the offer."

"You expect me to go London with you....to see David?"

"Or your aunt. Your choice. But you are done drinking. You hear me? I have had enough! I am your roommate and like a sister not your babysitter. I want the old Joslyn  back..."

Throwing myself back on the couch I groaned. "London it is then BUT I will NOT go to the awards with you. I don't want to see David."

"Honestly......you know you do but I'll just accept that you are going....for now. Now get up and start packing. We leave in the morning."
Groaning I covered my face with the pillow. It was going to be a very long weekend. Very long indeed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had been back and forth with Amy non stop over the last week in regards to Joss. I didn't know everything to the extent of what was actually going on but I could tell it wasn't good. Sure I had seen the pictures posted everywhere of Joslyn out and about with other men...even my manager brought them up several times but I just dismissed them. I knew she wouldn't cheat on me. Deep down I knew that she knew no one could make her feel the way I did and I held on to that like a life vest.
Amy had talked me down several times from flying over and I would have but one Amy said to give her space and two my schedule didn't really allow it right now. But the fashion awards were coming up this weekend and I put all the hope and faith I had into Amy that she could get Joslyn over here.
Currently sitting in a meeting of upcoming events and schedule changes with my manager,publicist, and a few others my phone alert sounded. Glancing down at my phone placed on the dark office table I saw Amy's name appear on the screen. I quickly picked it up scanning her words before going back to re-read them over and over again as I tried to compose myself as the biggest grin spread across my face.
Amy- "She's coming with me. See you soon!"
