"So that's everything?" I asked signing the final paper.

"That's it Joslyn. We will take care of the rest and notify you when everything is finalized."
Mrs. Martin informed.

"Great! I can't thank you enough for everything."

"My pleasure. We will talk soon."

Getting into my car I let out a sigh of relief. It felt so good to be getting everything finished up. I was on day four without David and I was honestly getting a little antsy which was never a good thing. I've thought about using or even having a drink or two just to help ease some of my restlessness but so far I have held strong.
We talked when we could but with the time difference and his work schedule it has been pretty difficult. I know I had a few more things to tie up in New York before I could head over to London but I was getting excited counting down the days until I surprised him. It for now it was one day at a time and I had bags to pack and a plane to catch.

I missed Joss with every ounce of my being. We were finally getting into a good space before I had to leave back out for London. I honestly didn't want to come back but I had several contracts on the line. We talked when we could which wasn't nearly enough for my liking. She would always say she was busy taking care of things and she would come out as soon as she could but not having a definite time bothered me. Left me even feeling a little uneasy. I've tried to keep those pessimistic thoughts at bay but with each passing day they crawled deeper and deeper inside setting off a close call with a panic attack or two.
I stayed as busy as I possibly could with work and my charities to attempt to pass the time quicker but here I was on day eleven and was starting to give up hope of her coming.

"Hey man. What's going on?" Adam my manager asked letting himself through the back door that opened into the kitchen.

"Not a whole lot. Why do you ask?" I looked up from reading the paper at the island.

"No reason. You need to get out of the house for a bit. Why not come out with us guys to the race track blow off some steam." He suggested.
I tossed the idea around in my head for a bit before finally giving in.

"Ok. What time?"

"Meet us there in about an hour?"

"I'll be there."

I tried calling Joss a couple of times only to get her voicemail. I was becoming irritated...Thankfully though here in a bit I could get her off my mind even if only for a little while.

Adam,Larry, and several others including myself stood around shooting the shit if you will when my text alert sounded.
Quickly retrieving it from my pocket my heart stopped finally seeing Joslyn's name.

"Hey you! What are you doing?" She asked.

"At the track with the guys. Trying to blow off some steam. Not working. What are you doing?"

"Missing you."

"I miss you more. Trust me."

"Is that so?"

"It is."

"Lay Me Down by Sam Smith."

"I must say it's been awhile since we have done this."

"I agree but I think you will like this one." She replied.

"I would like it much better if you were here with me."

"Such an impatient man...lol"

"Never has been a strong suit of mine. I've never been high handed with you before I would hate to have to start now."
I could feel the aggravation creeping up my veins. She was getting under my skin. While I mostly liked it...times like this when she held all the power....I despised it.
