"Kiss me." She demanded. My breath left my body in one quick second at the thought of my lips against hers again but I knew if I gave in....I wouldn't....no correct that....couldn't stop.
The past week without her has been nothing short of absolute torture. I felt empty, anxious, had a gaping hole in my chest that ached constantly and was overall miserable. The hold she had over me was impermeable ....not that I was complaining....but we HAD to work through whatever she needed to deal with because not having her in my life was unacceptable.

I took her hand in mine and lead the way through the over crowded room in long strides ignoring my name being called out on a couple occasions. My mind was on a one way track and that was to get Joslyn home.....to my home and in the back corner of my mind the thought of "our home" suddenly emerged almost faltering my step.

"David slow down. I can't keep up in these shoes." She pleaded but I didn't let up. I gave a small tug of her hand pulling her along as we reached the front doors. Pushing them open I completely forgot....

"Fuck!" I hissed quickly pulling her into my side. She tried shielding her face with her hand from the flashing of lights but it was useless. The paparazzi were ruthless to get their money shot.

"David!" She pleaded in my ear over the shouts of questions. I shrugged my tux jacket off as fast as I could draping it over her head taking her hand in mine again plowing through the crowd.

"Keep walking baby. Almost there."

Thankfully several others left right after we did so we weren't being followed by many as we made it the block over to my car.
"Impressive." She made a small nod towards my car.
"Thank you. I'm proud of her myself. "
"Let me guess....64' Porsche 356?
I didn't say a word just smirked.
Opening the door for her I grabbed her arm to stop her from getting in wanting to look her over once more.

"I'm sorry about that. I wasn't thinking or I would have went out through the back."

"It's ok. I forgive you" she smiled softly as I grazed my thumb across her cheek as another flash went off in the distance. Reluctantly I pulled away and sighed before giving in to my needs.
"Come on. In you go or we will never get out of here."
Safely tucked in my car away from the outside world just her sitting next to me recharged me. I pulled out onto the road of the London night heading home just as the sky opened up. I studied her intently as I drove through stolen glances. She looked absolutely stunning in that red gown and I couldn't wait to peel her out of it but the way she was watching the world go by through the rain soaked window, she looked so vulnerable. Scared almost. I reached over and grabbed her hand that she was writhing together in her lap brought it to my lips and gently placed a kiss before intertwining my fingers with hers resting them on my thigh.
Her body instantly relaxed sending a smile spreading across my face.

"Where are we going?" She asked softly.
"Home."
"Home....as in your home?"
"Yes. Is that ok?" I asked glancing back over.
Her gaze was intense as her eyes met mine and nodded slowly.
"Good. Just a couple more moments and we will be there."
She returned her glance back out through the window and I back to the road.
This had to be the longest ride home I had ever experienced.

"This is absolutely beautiful David!" I gasped as I entered his home. Letting go of his hand I walked forward a little to take in my surroundings. The outside was so deceiving in its almost Victorian state. The inside sat in neutral shades of color, vintage furniture, and full of boyish decor. The ultimate bachelor lounge like feel. Worn oak floors carried throughout the entry, hallway and the upstairs in which I kept it safe following the way down the hall that lead into the most beautiful kitchen I had ever laid eyes on. A very clean white kitchen almost to pretty to use but with just a touch of industrial with the choice of lights overhanging the island.
