David left out Friday evening for his flight to New York wanting to be gone as little as possible. He said he wanted to be there first thing Saturday morning to get his business finished up and on the first plane out Sunday. Of course I was not going to argue with him over it. I honestly hated it now when he was gone. I grew anxious and down right restless.  Thankfully it was late when he left....I came home after dropping him off at the airport, took a hot bath and passed out as soon as I hit the his pillow. The smell of him made it so much easier to sleep.
I slept in a little later than I normally would. I reached over to check my phone to see it was almost 10 am which put David at...around 5 am. I still had yet to hear anything from him which was odd....hopefully he was just in full business mode so he could hurry back.
I pulled up his name and thought of a good song I could send him...finally settling on Roses and Violets by Alexander Jean.  If he wasn't up already then it would give him something good to wake up to and let him know I was thinking of him.
In the meantime I had an idea.  I did a quick search through my contacts before finding the name I wanted and hit call. It didn't even ring twice when she answered the phone.

"Joslyn! How wonderful for you to call. I was just sitting here thinking about you. Is everything alright?"

"Yes Brenda everything is well. I was actually calling to see if you and Claire might be available for lunch or dinner today? I am kind of needing some insight on a few things."

"Oh of course darling! That would be just swell! I'll ring Claire and we can set up a time for today. I know she would be just delighted."

"Wonderful! Let me know what will be a good time and a place to meet and I will see y'all soon."

"Yes dear. I'll ring you back shortly."

"Great. Talk to you soon."
Well I now had the wheels in motion. Now to get up and get around. If I laid here too much longer I'm sure to fall back to sleep.

When I arrived back at my hotel from spending most of the day with Savannah I headed straight for the bar.
"Whiskey please" I called out to the bar tender taking a seat on the stool. The tension from the red eye flight and lack of sleep was settling in full force. I was normally able to power through days like this with no problem  but something about today had me dragging ass. I wanted to pick up the phone and call Joss so many times but with the time difference I couldn't bring myself to do it plus I needed to rid of my irritation before talking to her. Nothing good would come about starting trouble a world apart....So I did what I do best. Drink.
Each drink warmed my body more than the last and had me feeling pretty relaxed. After the fifth or sixth glass I called it a night and headed up to my room to shower off the days grime. Once refreshed I passed smooth out I'm sure before I even reached the bed, but it felt soon shortly after I closed my eyes I was woken by my phone's texting alert.

"I miss you. Hope everything is well. Roses and Violets by Alexander Jean. 😘"
I signed and tossed my phone to the side. Don't get me wrong I loved Joslyn even missed her, but right now all I needed was to go back to sleep. I needed sleep. Which was unusually like me but God if my body wasn't tired. I tossed and turned for a good twenty minutes before getting pissed off and got up to start this piss poor day.

"Morning." I announced walking into Olivia's room. She was sitting up in her bed watching cartoons on the tv while Savannah sat next to her smiling at her phone.

"Oh hey! Good morning. I didn't expect you so early."

"Me either. Rough start. Thought I would stop by and check in with everything."

"It's great! She will be finishing up today with all her Pre-op labs and should be able to go home this evening if all looks well. They will have their weekly meeting between all the surgeons tomorrow and hopefully know when they can get her on the board."
