The past several days had been an absolute whirlwind and honestly I was completely overwhelmed. I think we had everything planned and thankfully I had found the most gorgeous dress, even though it did show the hint of my bump, I loved it.

"Are you all finished packing yet?" David asked whizzing into the room.

"Just about I think. Just going back over everything double checking."

"Perfect." He kisses my cheek before heading into the closet just as his phone rang.

"Hey Adam. What can I help you with?" I could faintly hear him answer. "Are you fucking kidding me right now?!?! How can she even get away with that?"
His anger had my attention. What could possibly be going wrong now? He stalked from the closet "Yeah she is one moment....there... you are on speaker." He informed Adam.

"Hello Joss....er...Joslyn. Sorry to be of a bother."

"It's ok. What's going on?"

"So just as I was telling David...Mollie has decided to publish a tell all book as you can guess featuring David and their relationship and how it came to an end..."

"Let me guess....she's saying I did it?"

"That's one way of putting it..."

"Of course!" I scoffed.

"So, what do we do about it?" David asked.

"Well there are a couple of options...1) just ignore it and go on your merry way or 2) pick a magazine to cover your wedding to prove her otherwise on her stories. Prove to the world that she is full of it and show that you two really are, in fact, in love."

"Why do we have to prove anything?" I asked.

"You don't really...like I said you can both just choose to ignore it, but the implications could potentially impact future business deals if companies so choose to believe her." Adam explains.

"Fuck!" David sighed. "Adam, can you give us a bit to discuss...."

"No need." I cut him off pushing for a bit. "I'll do it....on one condition."

"What's that." They asked in unison.

"All the proceeds from the magazine go to one of David's charities."

"Perfect." Adam said. "I'll get everything set up. I'll see you two in a couple of days."

"Thank you." David said before hanging up. "You couldn't be any more perfect if you tried." He smiled planting a kiss on my lips.

"It's nothing. It's the smart decision to make. Not only do we "win" per say but one of your charities will benefit from it as well. Besides...you shouldn't feel like you have to choose between keeping me out of the spotlight and your business."

"Still...you are going along with this all so well. I'm proud of you. You never asked to be in the public light, and I will try my hardest to keep you from it as best as I can."

"As long as I have you...that's all that matters." I stood quiet for a moment before I worked up the nerve to ask "Is that way you chose to retire? To keep me out of the light?"

He gave a slight shrugged. "Some of the reason. But mostly due to the traveling. I hate being away for periods at a time and as I said before, I do not want to be an absent father or husband. It was the smart decision to make." He chuckled.

"Will you miss it?"

"Some aspects of it yes...but not nearly as much as I would miss you or the little." He wrapped me up in a hug resting his forehead to mine. "What's with all the questions?"
