"How are you feeling?" David asked as I stirred to life.
"A lot better actually. Still a little nauseous but way better than yesterday." I informed stretching out my sore body.
"That's good to hear."

"Yeah. Thank you for staying with me. I'm sure there are more important things going on you need to tend to rather than me."

"Nothing in this world is an important as you are. You hear me?"

I swallowed hard at his confession. "Yea..."

"So I have some calls to make. I'll go start the coffee first then we can figure out a plan for the day if you want. I think it will do your body good to get out a bit."

"That sounds nice." I smiled up at him. He hovered above me with a  mischievous grin. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Something I've wanted to do for awhile now." He leaned in softly pressing his lips to mine. It was so soft and gentle. He took his time sweetly torturing me awakening every nerve in my body as he devoured me with his mouth. My lips ached as he slowly pulled away.
"I've missed you." He confessed looking deep into my eyes, his thumb grazing my cheek.

"I missed you too."

"Think you could make me a promise?"

"Possibly....depends on what it is..." I trailed off afraid of where he might go with his request.

"Promise me...the next time you read or see and even hear of a rumor...you will come to me? I promise to always be truthful with you. I would rather you come to me with your questions or assumptions than to believe someone else and run off again."

"David I...."

"No. Just promise. It's all I ask."

"I promise."

"Good. Now coffee. I'll return." He smiled before gracefully removing himself from my bed.

I stretched my legs out as far as I could until they eventually cramped up but oh how it hurt so good! I had to admit...with everything that had been in my system the last several weeks...I actually felt really good today which had my mind thinking that David was that reason.

"Here you go." David said as he held a cup of coffee up over my head allowing me to sit up in bed.

"Thanks. I can't believe I slept all day yesterday and last night."

"You needed it."

"I just feel bad you sat here the whole time with nothing to do."

"Nonsense. No other place I would rather be. Besides...it was nice and quiet for a change. I was able to catch up on a few things I've been meaning to."

"Good."

"But I uh...I do need to be flying back to London in the morning."

"Oh. Ok. Larry and Amy already gone?"

"Yeah. Flew out last night. Had to get back to work. So...what are you going to do?" He asked

"What do you mean?"

"Would you be interested in coming back with me?"

Silence filled he space between us for several moments as I stared deep into my coffee cup as if it were a crystal ball holding all of the answers.

"I uh...honestly haven't thought about it really. I haven't thought about much lately to be honest."

"I see. What if I were to ask?"

He looked nervous...so unsure of himself which was not like him at all. And I hated that it was me that was making him feel this way.

"Can I think about it?"
