"Slow Dancing in a Burning Room- rendition by SoMo" her text read.
Laying back in bed staring up at the ceiling I let the song wash over me. I had to admit that this girl had an ear for music. This had to be one of the most powerful songs I have heard even though the message behind it left me rather a bit confused. What exactly was she trying to say here? I didn't know but I was determined to find out.

Several hours later I laid out on a lounge chair on the middle of the white sandy beach basking in the hot sun music blaring in my ears. It felt so good to be able to fully relax. I can't tell you how long it has been that I have been able to lay back and enjoy the tranquility of it all that was until the darkness took over sending a chill over my body with the lack of the sun's warming rays. Peaking my eye open revealed a very sculpted Greek God. His chest and stomach so defined and his arm and shoulders so broad it took my breath away. 'What in the hell is he doing here?' I asked myself pulling my earplugs from my ears.
"We're slow dancing in a burning room eh?" he asked cocking his head to the side with a raised brow.
"What are you doing here?" I asked in return trying to distract myself from the deliciousness before me.
"Enjoying the weather."
"Oh." it was all I could say.
"Is this seat taken?" he motioned towards the chair next to me.
"No."
"May I?"
"Sure."
Unsure of what to say or do next silence crept in and took over. After a beat or two he finally asked
"What did you mean by sending me that song?"
"We can't be anything David you know that. You're engaged to be married for crying out loud!"
The truth of information seemed to knock him off balance for a minute.
"But what if it isn't what I want?"
"You're a man David no offense but y'all never know what y'all want."
"Y'all huh?" he chuckled. "Where are you from originally?"
"The south obviously."
"More specific" he demanded.
"Arkansas"
I watched as he nodded slightly.
"My turn." I continued. "what are you doing here?"
"I told you enjoying the weather."
"More specific." I mocked causing him to smile.
"I caught a red eye last night.Arrived early this morning."
"But why? You don't shoot until Monday afternoon."
"Honestly? Hoping to spend more time with you."
The bluntness of his confession startled me.
"Oh"
"Just oh?
"Yup"
We continued to sit in silence just soaking up the sun. It wasn't an awkward silence but rather comfortable and soothing having his presence near.
"Look...I know that I am engaged but..."
He got cut off by my phone ringing.
"Hang on. Sorry I better answer this. She has been trying to call."
"It's ok"

'Hey whats up?'
'Where have you been? I've been trying to reach you!' - A
'I know. I'm sorry. What's going on?'
' I wanted to give you a heads up on what's out on the gossip news stands this morning.'-A
' Amy you know I don't follow that mess.'
' You might now seeing how it's you they are gossiping about.'-A
' WHAT?!?!?'
' Yeah....it's pictures of you and David from when he showed up at the salon apparently. Why didn't you tell me about that?'-A
' It was nothing....really...how in the world did they know?'
' They are everywhere Joss...you know that.'-A
'What does it say?'
'Just the generic gossip....wondering if David has a new romance etc..'-A
'I can't believe this. I have to go.'
'Joss wait....don't flip out ok? It will be fine and blow over. Don't stress about it.'-A
' Easy for you to say when it isn't you.'

I quickly hung up the phone and started gathering my things.

"Is everything alright?" he asked
"No. No it's not. Thanks to you I'm on some gossip tabloid being talked about!" I snapped.
"Wait...What?"
"You heard me. A gossip magazine has pictures of us apparently from you at the salon. I told you this would happen!"
"Calm down. I'll come with you and we will get this sorted out."
"No you won't! There is nothing to sort out. The damage has been done." and stormed off.

On the way back to the hotel I stopped at a little shop and sure enough there on the front page of several magazines there we were. Just great! Buying a couple of them I quickly headed straight up to the suite. I dropped everything in the hall and sat at one of the bar stools with the magazines scattered before me. Thankfully they didn't have my name yet but I knew it was only a matter of time but the pictures were so clear. Anyone who knew me would know it was me.....ugh! I couldn't believe this! Quickly skimming the article I didn't even hear the elevator ping. The next thing I knew I heard his voice "So what does it say?" causing me to fall off my stool.
"Are you kidding me right now?!?!?!?"
"Here let me help you. I didn't mean to frighten you."
"Why in God's name are you here??? How did you even get in here?" His hands reached out and grabbed mine sending an electric current throughout. He gave a slight shy smirk. "Please don't be mad...."
"Oh God....what did you do?"
"This is my room as well."
"Excuse me?"
"Yeah...I kind of changed your room arrangements."
"Really David?!?!"
He gave a small shrug.
"Oh my god" I whispered exasperated "I can't escape you."
"Do you really want to?" He countered back looking deep into my eyes."
" I need to." I answered once I caught my breath.
"That wasn't what I asked."
"David..." thankfully it was his phones turn to interrupt.
"Excuse me."
