Chapter Seventy Three:
Everyday~POV: Jaiden~
*December 3rd*
"Babe! I'm short! I need help." I told Aaron. We had been decorating the tree and Aaron wanted me to put the star on top. He walked up behind me and picked me up by my waist. I put the star on top and he let me down. We stood back and admired our work.
"We did good, babe." He said. I nodded. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled my body against his. "Happy birthday, my love." He whispered. I smiled and leaned my head back against his shoulder. He picked me up suddenly.
"Aaron!" I giggled. He grinned at me, his eyes twinkling. I grinned back.
"So, Princess. What next?" He asked. I shrugged. He bit his lip in thought. I smiled and started playing with his hair. He scoffed and smiled at the action. "How about we go out for a bit?" He suggested.
"Alright." I agreed. He set me down on the ground.
"Okay. Let's go." He said. We walked out the door, locking it on our way. He got in the drivers seat after opening and closing my car door for me.
He drove to a small restaurant and parked the car. We walked in to find Jack, Abby, Chris, Mike, Chester, Austin, Taryn, Alexis, Shay, and a girl I didn't recognize sitting at a table.
"Happy birthday, Jaiden!" They yelled when they saw me. I smiled at them.
"Hey, everybody!" I said with a grin. After we all got hugs, Aaron and I sat down next to each other. We all chatted for a while as we ate and after.
Mike and Chester left, needing to get back to the studio. Everybody else soon dwindled out until it was Aaron, Jack, myself, and the girl. She was beside Jack and had remained very quiet the entire time.
"Jaiden, Aaron, I'd like you both to meet Jillian Thunder. She's a friend from New York." Jack introduced us.
"Hi, Jillian! I'm Aaron, and this is my wife, Jaiden." Aaron introduced us.
"Babe, I think she already knew." I told him. He shrugged.
"Oh well." He said nonchalantly, taking a drink of his Pepsi. He put his arm around me, twisting a lock of my hair between his fingers.
"Jillian has an issue." Jack started. "She is seven months pregnant." I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Look, I'm going to get right to the point. She needs to be watched. Can she stay with the two of you for a few weeks while she's in town recording an album?" I looked at Aaron. He raised an eyebrow. He stood, taking my hand. He led me away from the table.
"Jaiden, I think we should. Just a couple weeks. We've got what- three guest rooms total including the one downstairs." He said. I nodded.
"Yeah. She doesn't seem the most stable. I think the living sunshine that you are could do her some good." I said with a smile. He kissed my lips.
"You know it, baby." He whispered, smirking. We walked back and sat down. "Okay, Miss. Jillian. You're with us for a couple weeks! Tomorrow we can get you settled in. Tonight, I have a date with the most beautiful woman in the world!" Aaron said excitedly. I giggled and shook my head at him.
We said our goodbyes and left. When we got home, I went inside to the living room. I had a text from Mama and was responding when Aaron walked in.
"So, my darling, I have a few more surprises." He said, sitting next to me on the couch. I put my phone down and cuddled into his side as he put an arm around me. "However, you have to wait a few hours. So, what do you want to do in the mean time?" He asked. I put my head on his chest and laced our fingers together.
