Chapter Three- They Said A Storm Was Coming
~POV-Aaron~
Taryn had called Austin to see if he wanted to hang out with her. Of course, he said yes and that he'd bring me for Jaiden. (No complaints from me!) Taryn sent directions. We were a half hour away, so we got dressed and started to head out. The other guys were still passed out.
Austin and I drove down the road to the Rutabaga Residence. I drummed my fingers along to Linkin Park that was blaring out my stereo. We arrived at the house, and Austin ran up, excited to see Taryn.
He banged on the door. Mama Rutabaga opened the door. I walked up behind him. She let us in after talking to the girls. Austin got Taryn and left. Jaiden walked up the stairs a minute after, still in her pajamas.
"Oh- heeey, Aaron." She said blushing. She had on Batman pajama pants, a long sleeved black v-neck, and black framed glasses. "Ill be ready in a minute." She ran up the stairs. I stood at the landing.
"Aaron, Aaron, Aaron. Come on up and sit with me." Mama Rutabaga said. A little white, fluffy dog ran around the woman's feet. She was sitting at the dining room table, at the head. She patted the place beside her. I sat down in the chair.
"Hi, Mama Rutabaga." I smiled. She smiled too.
"Hi, Aaron." She shut her iPad case. "So, what are you and Jaiden going to do today?" She asked me.
"Uh, I don't know." I shrugged. "Talk. I don't really know much about this area." I admitted.
"Well, Jai knows this place like the back of her hand." Mama Rutabaga said. "She plays bass, too." She bragged about her daughter.
"Mama. Are you bragging again?" Jaiden asked walking out from the hallway. She had her contacts in, a light purple shirt on, blue skinny jeans, a black seat belt belt, and her hair was pulled half up-half down style, a bit of a purple bow showing.
"Me?! Bragging about my beautiful, straight A girl? Never!" Mama Rutabaga exclaimed. She got up from the table. "You two have fun. Jai, I trust you. Bad idea, but I do. I love you. Be good. Bye!" She said, practically shoving us out the door.
Jaiden and I got in my car. I looked over at her and smiled. I gently touched her hand. She looked over at me and smiled, too.
"You ready?" I asked.
"Ready!" She yelled. She had a huge grin plastered on her face, life showed in her light green eyes. I smiled too.
"Where to first?" I asked.
"How about a tour of Downtown? Ill show you the best place ever!" She smiled. We started driving. She took out her phone and tapped the screen a few times. First Date by Blink 182 started coming out of my speakers. I looked at her in awe.
"How'd you-" I started
"Easy. Your Bluetooth wasn't connected." She smiled at me. She gave me directions until we arrived at an open walk way with stores in the side. Jaiden grabbed my hand when I got on the side walk. She looked at me and grinned. She started running, pulling me behind.
We ran into a music store. We stopped running when we got to the door. There were ukuleles lining the first wall, then another door.
"Welcome to the best place in town." She grinned at me. She opened the door. There were guitars lining one wall with amps beside them, stairs that went up to what I could see were orchestra instruments, a room in the back with drum sets and sticks, and the other wall had straps, picks, AND BASSES!!!!
