Chapter Eighty One:
Happy~POV: Jaiden~
I sat downstairs in my office, working with a Blink-182 playing softly in the background. Alanna slept in the little crib in the studio. She started crying. I tutted and went over, picking her up gently.
"No, no, no, Princess." I told her softly. "Rose, Rose, Rose, Rose, will I ever see thee wed?" I sang softly. "I will marry at thy will, sire. At thy will." I repeated the song, lulling the baby to sleep. When she was asleep, I laid her down before getting back to work. I had sat down when I felt someone's arms around my neck, a kiss pressed into the side of my head.
"You sing beautifully, my love." Aaron said softly. I smiled and leaned back into his embrace.
"What's wrong, babe? I thought you were asleep." I said. He shrugged.
"Couldn't sleep. I couldn't sleep without you next to me. I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about how I'm going to go three months without you sleeping in my arms. Three months without seeing my beautiful little girl." Aaron explained. I broke away from him and turned.
"So, what did you decide?" I asked. He shrugged and pulled me out of my seat, taking it before pulling me into his lap. He held me closely to him while I put my head on his chest and my arms around his neck. I closed my eyes and exhaled deeply. He put his head on top of mine, kissing the top gently.
"I love you, Jaiden0." He said softly.
"I love you, too, Aaron." I said back. He held me tighter.
"I'm gonna tell them I'm not going this summer. I cannot leave my girls." He said softly. I nodded. Alanna started crying once more. I got up and went over, picking her up in my arms and sitting back down on my husband's lap.
"White walls," I began singing to her softly. "Endless places."
"Somethings off." Aaron sang as well. "I can see it in their faces." He gently touched my face.
"Say anything, say anything."
"Say anything that can make this all okay." He continued the song, leaning a bit.
"Take it away, take it away." I began leaning in as well.
"Take away all of this emptiness I feel."
"Cause I will never find another you." We sang together, gently pressing our lips together. We pulled away.
This was our family. This was our life. This was our little cliché. This was our love story.
