Chapter 1| Throw me off Guard?

Yana's POV

"GUYS FOR EVERY TIME YOU TALK, ANOTHER MINUTE IS ON THE BOARD!!" Yells out the Science Teacher. I sit there with my bag packed up and she's still like this, we're in high school and you're still treating us like primary school children. "Ms, just let them stay back not us," yelled out Adrian from our table. I sit back and wait for the bell to go, this class would be one of the slowest apart from Maths. I would look at the time and think that the time have stopped. "Fine then Adrian's you can go," said the teacher.

"Of course they're the smart asians," one student said. "Well let's see who will you work for in the future," said the teacher. All the students, "Oooooh" on what the teacher said while I just laughed at the student who just went red and silent. The bell went and we left first not looking back at the students, "Why are we placed in a class with annoying people," said Jessica. "It's life, don't worry only a few years left till we graduate" I said. "Then we don't have to worry about them," said Adrian. "True, but I always feel like I will yank out my hair because of them," she said. "You're not the only one," I said.

"You seem to remain so calm though," she said. "Do you see me rolling at my eyes at them I'm getting a headache from them letting me do that," I said while we sat down. "It's so funny how they let themselves do that, then we see them more stressed out than us," said Adrian. "That's they're fault," I said. "What do you have next?" Asked Jessica. "Oh shit, PE" I said. "Ayeee your with Taekwoon again," said Adrian. "Please, can you not?" I put my head on top of my bag. "I do so well when he's not around then when he is I look like a total idiot" I said. "I shouldn't be having feelings for him, it's been 2 years," I said.

"Don't worry it will pass, in university there are many more and better guys there" said Jessica. "Uhmmm excuse me?" Said Adrian. "You're our best friend Adrian, do you think we'll date you? It will be a waste of friendship after all these years," I said. "You have a point, beside I don't want to date girls who wears layers of makeup," he said. Most of the girls we usually see are the ones who tries to get attention, wear layers of makeup or wears their skirt of shorts very high. Especially the new students or the junior but there are still many who doesn't do that.

I'm usually the first one in class and the teacher sometimes comes late, so most students in my class would still go and play basketball, soccer and whatever else. I sit down on the stairs listening to music, a few students came along said hello to me, giving high fives and hugs. After a while the teacher finally came, I stood up and walked down so the teacher could make their way through. I sat in my normal spot, and waited for my teacher to mark the roll so we could start our lesson. 'I guess he's not here' I thought to myself, but too soon he came along, and sat down. The teacher is cool with Taekwoon since he loves playing sport and will come a bit late to class.

"Well since most teachers are away for the school cup we can all go and do PE outside," said the Teacher. "Is it multi sport?" Said one student. "Yes it is," we all went outside, and I looked for my friends to sit with them. "Hey, guys," I walked to them. "Hey, we finally get to spend more together," said Jessica. "We just hung out at our break," said Adrian. "But still," she said. We didn't want to do any sport in my opinion, I like doing the PDH theory lessons over practical lessons. We just sat and talked watching the boys play basketball, "Imagine if it rains and the hot seniors take their shirts off, revealing their abs," said Jessica. "Your such a pervert," said Adrian.

"Look at the guys here and compare to the ones in movies," he added. "Just let my imagination run wild," she retorted back. "Wow kinky much," said Adrian and she immediately slapped him. "Yana help me," I just sit there laugh. "Hey, Yana" I look up and it's Daehan one of Taekwoon's best friends. "Hello, Daehan," I smile to him. "Why are you not playing sport?" He asks. "It's not my thing, I'm not great at it," I said by that time, Adrian and Jessica are quiet but pretending that they are talking to each other. "Ohh, so theory is your thing," he said. "Basically," I said. "Do you like anyone?"

I took a quick glance at Taekwoon and I see him looking at Daehan and I. "Uhmm, no not that this time," I said. "Oh okay, I see you around," he said standing up. "Bye," he went back to this friends. "He went back to Taekwoon," said Adrian. "Oh well let's see where this goes," I said. "Just go with the flow," said Jessica. "Hey, but keep us updated if anything happens okay?" Said Adrian. "Okay," We all start walking around like everybody else. "Do you want to come over?" Said Jessica. "I'll pass, I want to catch up on sleep," I said. "Same."

We all waited till the bell goes for our break, and school went on as normal. Annoying people shouting for no reason, couples making out, students arguing causing a pointless fight and things we would usually roll our eyes for.

"Guys remember to finish your uncompleted as homework and I will check it tomorrow," said my history teacher. "Okay, can we go now?" Yelled out a student since the bell wait. "Be patient," said another the teacher just stood at the door. "Because I need to catch the taxi," a few students laughed but I just sat there expressionless. 'Really?' I thought. "Shut up you're not funny," said a female student. "Okay guys you settled?" Said the teacher we all finally stayed quiet. "You're dismissed," the students starts blocking the door so I waited till they left.

"I feel sorry for you being in a class like this," said the teacher. "It's fine, I have to get use to it," I said. I walked myself to the back gate leaving the school since it's the closest way home. "Should I buy food?" Omma and Appa won't be home till around dinner. I didn't want to take the bus and be suffocated by people with BO. So I would prefer, walking more than 30 minutes to the shops close to my house. I went to Woolworths and bought chocolate, chips and Arizona ice tea that was all on sale. Before going to Mcdonalds and order large chips and 10 pack nuggets. "All I spend on is food," I tell myself while walking home.

I wasn't able to eat much while I was at school since I was in a rush most of the time. Once I made it home I went straight to my room and changed into more comfortable clothing before I sit on my bed, listening to music and eating. I wasn't able to eat the food I bought from Woolworths so I would just save them for next time when I'm hungry at 12am.

It was only 4:30pm and my parents come around 6pm. I watched a whole heap of JKNews, JKParty and Wong fu. I felt sleepy after a while.

"Honey, wake up" Omma, sat next to me on the bed. "Oh hello omma," I said. "Appa cooked dinner, let's eat now," I yawned and went down stairs with her. "Sleep well?" Said Appa. "Yes, school was pretty busy," I said. Well more of tiring, even thought I don't do much. "Let's eat," we all sat on the table. My parents are business people, so they are always busy at the office in the city sometimes one will come home while the other has a meeting or they'll be gone for a whir because of a business trip. I eventually got used to it.

When we finished our food, "Thank you, I had a good meal," I said. "I'm happy that you ate well," said Appa. "I'll wash the dishes while you guys rest," I said. "Are you sure?" Said Omma. "Yes, I am sure," I said stacking up the plate. "Thank you, Yana," said Appa. "No problem," I said bringing them to the sink washing them. After that I went back to my room and took a shower and changed into shorts and a baggy shirt since it wasn't too hot nor cold. I wasn't feeling sleepy, so I just read a book called the, 'Eye of the Storm.'

"Ughh, I don't know what to do," I don't want to finish the book in one night before I don't get sleep. I put the book on top of my face and continue to listen to music.

*Ding Ding*

I didn't notice the sound but the volume of the music decreased, "What happened?" I removed the book from my face and looked at my phone.
