Smut Warning!!
Yana's POVTeachers development day, I never really knew what's the purpose of this. All I know is that we need to prepare lessons, know this years agenda and make sure that our lesson match with the syllabus.
"Yana, how was your time in Australia?" Angela Nani, disturbed Jamie and I from our conversation and sat next to us. The other teachers close to our age eyed at her as they all know that she doesn't particularly like me. "It was good, I had a good time with my family and friends."
"I saw that Taekwoon was with you."
"Yeah, we're both family friends so before we left our families had a small party for us," I smiled at her and it looks like she's annoyed. "That's nice, what did you and Taekwoon do?"
"We hangout with our friends in high school and Ravi was with us, so it was good swimming in the Sydney beaches."
"Ravi? What about the rest?"
"Oh right, I'm not sure if you knew. Another reason why I went back is because of a court hearing, I don't really want to talk about it since I am over it and we are at work." My attention went back to my laptop where I arranged my lessons.
"Oh c'mon spill the beans." My pursed my lips and look back at her. "No, if you listened just then you wouldn't ask again," the other teachers in front us scoffed and smirked. Angela gave them the evil eye and walked off back to her desk where she is sitting by herself.
"Classy as usual, Yana."
"Well she has no business in this, so why would she need to know," they all nodded in agreement.
"Miss Choi, I need to speak to you." Mr Kwan approach the table I was sitting in, I slowly stood up and followed him to his office. 'Goodluck!!' I turned back and they all mouthed those words to me whilst they pray. The words, 'I need to speak to you.' Always made me nervous, especially when it's about your relationship or work because it can go either way.
"Yana, sit down," I sat down behind Mr Kwan's desk as he sat in front of it. "You might be wondering why, I need to talk to you. It's not anything bad, but you will have more work to do than usual."
"Was is it sir?"
"I've decided promote you to head teacher in the English faculty. From the results of the students you have taught, they have improved so much thanks to you. You're a very likeable teacher who works hard, so are you up for it?"
"Thank you so much, Mr Kwan. I will make you proud," he handed my a folder that is made for only head teachers to read, I bowed and thanked him again before I left going back to the work desk. As I walk through the corridor, it was cold and dark since the teachers are all in their office. Holding my papers before I freak myself out even more, I speed walked back to the teachers room where my work is.
"What happened?" They saw the papers I placed on the table. "That's for head teachers," I nodded.
"CONGRATS!!!!" They all cheered and gave me a hug before I could shut them up. "Yes Choi Yana is your new english head teacher," the Principal came in once again to announce. Great. So much attention on me. I looked at Jamie and she gave wiggled her eyebrows so I could turn around to see Angela, clapping while rolling her eyes before scoffing as she went back to work. I turned back and shrugged, "Let's all go out and drink."
The older teachers suggested. I don't think it's a good idea, since I don't know if Taekwoon would be at home, he told me that he is very busy with his schedules and the last thing I would want to do is come home dead set wasted because of a promotion. "C'mon it's rare for us to go out to eat and drink," they nudged my shoulder. I looked at my friends and we all nodded, "Angela-ssi, what about you?"
