Chapter 20| Holding Back?

Yana's POV

So Adrian, Jessica and I ended enrolling into the same university and having around the same atar mark. But of course we had different majors, so most of the time our schedules clash.

Life in university is independent. Having the responsibility to ask questions, help and advice because we are in control of our own future, so we should not hesitate and ask for our own benefit.

I haven't talked to Taekwoon as well as we are again both busy like usual. But I met another guy who has the same passions as me for teaching and english. It was weird to see how similar but yet very different, I had a sudden attraction to him as he was blessed with good looks. But the looks will be on the plus side as I consider more of the type of personality a guy has.

Jericho is more on the enthusiastic and outgoing side which Taekwoon is more quiet and mysterious.

It caught to my attention how he is a good leader who includes everyone in discussions and always consider the opinions of others. Also that he talks so well and he dresses well is a bonus to it, "Yana, come with me to the library or do you want to eat first?" I looked at the clock and see that it is lunch time. "Let's eat first, then we'll go back to studying." Us both helping each other pack up and heading to the cafes and other stores within the campus.

"So what made you want to come here?"

I gave it a little thought but it wasn't hard to answer, "Well you know they say that you can't judge a book by its cover. But in this case, most students will would have done it, I wanted to come here because it looks like good environment to learn and study in and also having resources that our available to us 24/7. Also the facilities that out available to us are in good quality condition and of course the students here are determined and willing to help out," I said.

We picked a cafe and ordered lunch, I wouldn't really prefer eating out a lot here as it is expensive. But might as well enjoy it while you can, "I would have to agree with you, just learning in an environment like this will obviously make us strive to do better."

I would also have to add that he is a good listener, giving full attention. It makes me feel good since it's a one on one talk but the attention doesn't fade off. Our food came and we started eating, that's when the silence came. I guess we were pretty hungry after having different lectures and we just met during class.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure why not," I took sip of water. "Are you in a relationship right now?" There is a part of me that wants to he pursued by Jericho but I need to concentrate on my future. Yet he is the one who helped me improve and what not, but I should not assume, since he asked that question. "I'm not in one, what made you say that?" I asked. "Well I was just thinking about that for the past couple of weeks, I would have to be honest with you, Yana Choi," he said my full name.
