I walked through the empty streets of Phoenix Drop, crying softly, the only other noise being the water droplets falling from the sky, as I sat down on the sidewalk, beside a lamp post. This scene had become all so familiar to me, that it seemed, as though it were part of my schedule already.

I had just left Laurence's apartment, having as he cheated on me, and we broke up again, for the millionth time. Every time it had been different, but had always ended the same way. Him, with some other girl, and me, heartbroken, telling myself that it would be the last time this happens. But of course, I had failed to do so which led me to being here right now.

It has happened so many times, that this time, I'm not even going to try to say to myself that it would be the last time this happens, since now I know that it's only going to end up a lie. So, why keep lying to myself when I already know the truth?

Truthfully, I don't even know why I keep giving second chances. I'm so freaking stupid since Laurence's charms only work on me when I let it.

As I sat there, crying my heart out, I had not noticed a familiar icy blue eyes watching me, until he walked towards me with a comforting look rested on his face.

I didn't know what to do, nor what to say. The girl of my dreams, was crying a rainstorm right in front of me, as it was, I presume, because of one of my best friends. I had always been two-faced about their situation. Sometimes I would be happy about their breakups, yet sometimes, I feel sorry for them.

Truthfully, I always despised Laurence having to cheat on her every single time they get back together. And I always despised how Aphmau forgives him every time he does so.

As I approached her slowly, she turned her head upwards towards me and gave a soft smile. This is what I loved about her, she could smile for the people who cared for her, even if she was crying. It may seem eccentric to some people, yet I find it admiring. How she, could put up a smile for us, even with tears streaming down her face.

My head slowly drifted towards Garroth, as I saw his gaze was focused on me. I must have looked like a mess. I put up a soft smile and started talking to him.

"Hey, G." I said, with a hoarse voice. It was no surprise that my voice was like that, seeing as I had cried a lot previously before he arrived.

"Hey Aph, what happened?" He asked, softly, hesitating before, as if he was scared to hurt my feelings.

"Laurence. Laurence is what happened." I replied, sobbing again.

"Come on, lets get you to my house. You must be freezing." He said, as he lent out a hand for me to take. I gladly accepted it.

I was sitting down on Garroth's couch, at his apartment, right now. It was 11:21PM right now, so Garroth insisted I stay the night here, considering it was itch black outside.

"I'm sorry for being such a burden," I apologized softly, as I tilted my head down. "Really, I'm okay to go back home now."

"No, you're not a burden, and are you crazy?! It's pitch black outside, and there's a rainstorm! There is no way that I'm letting a friend go out in the rain by herself late at night." Friend. For some unknown reason, a part of me was hoping I could be more than just a friend to him.

"So... what do we do now?" I asked.

"What about truth or dare?" He suggested with a mischievous glint in his eyes, while a playful smirk formed upon his lips.

"You're on." I say, gladly accepting the challenge.

We had played for quite a while now, and it was currently 3:51am. Yet, we were nowhere close to tired. So far, he had licked the wall, told his most embarrassing moment, and had shouted it outside the window, while I had did my happy dance, cracked an egg over my head, and had posted an embarrassing photo on Snapchat.

"Truth or dare, G?" I asked, menacingly, as Garroth had a nervous expression on his face.

He gulped. "Truth,"

"Who's your crush?" I asked, he was shocked, yet nevertheless answered. Truthfully, my mouth as gaping open at his answer.

"You......." He answered sheepishly. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"For how long?" I asked quietly.

"Ever since I met you." My eyes widened at this. Me and Garroth had known each other since we were 7 years old. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have answered. Irene, now it's gonna be awkward and all, and I understand if you-" I cut him off. By kissing him. It was passionate, yet soft. Our lips fit perfectly together.

As our lips parted, our foreheads touched, and our hands connected. We had both closed our eyes, breathing deeply.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

And guess who said 'I love you' first? Me. And from then on, we had been madly in love with each other. Sure, we had fights, yet we knew that it was gonna be alright. I never got anymore heartbreaks after that. Due to Garroth's request, me and Laurence had made up and became good friends.

That day, I had found my true love. All thanks, to the rainy day. Who knew that someone could be so happy because of the rain?
