He remembered looking down for one brief moment. His phone had gone off, a text message from his boyfriend asking when he was coming over. Little did Zane know, Travis had already been on his way to see him. His gaze wandered over to the small box that sat in the passenger seat.

Tonight was the night, he was finally going to ask his boyfriend of two years to marry him.

The next moment though, he's staring at himself. His body limp, red crimson stuck in his silver hair, wounds covering his face. The rest of his body was blocked and he was too afraid to look.

Zane was growing annoyed. Two hours ago he texted his boyfriend, seeing when he was coming over. Two hours later, no reply has been received. Attempting to call him was furtialil, as Travis's phone went straight to voicemail.

Fed up, he threw his phone across the room before collapsing onto the couch. His fingers searched for the remote, he'd drown his annoyance in My Little Horises. Clicking the on button, the screen quickly brought up the local news.

There was something about a serious car accident, the driver of one of the vehicles had died almost imminently - he quickly turned the channel, not wanting to drown himself in a series of bad news.

Suddenly there was someone banging at his door, the other side he heard his older brother yelling. "Baby Brother, open up!" There was something off about his voice... He sounded like he'd been crying.

'Maybe Laurance broke up with him...' He thought, getting up. Honestly, he'd been surprised his older brother hadn't knocked down the door yet.

Walking over to his front, he opened it. Surprised to note that Garroth hadn't be alone, Laurance and Aphmau had been there too. All three of their cheeks had been stained with tears.

"We came to check up on you..." Aphmau says, stepping forward.

Zane kinks up a brow. Check up on him? He was fine, though annoyed since Travis hadn't bothered to get back to him yet. "I'm doing alright..."

She looked taken aback. "A-Alright.. How can you be alright?"

"Because I am." Zane responds flatly.

"Baby Brother, do you not know?" This time, Garroth asks.

"Know what?" He was really confused now.

Garroth looks from Aphmau to Laruance, before back towards Zane. He sucks in a deep breath, "Travis... He was in an accident. H-He didn't make it..."

That's when Zane's world came crashing down.

He fell to his knees, letting out a loud scream.

It was his funeral. He sat in the back row, his shoulder pressed up against the shoulder of the person next to him. Though, they didn't know it.

Travis never thought that he would get to watch it. He watched his friends go up to the coffin in front of the room. He'd never thought he'd see his friends so upset over his death - crying as they said their final goodbyes.

The person next to him though, never went up. Their face held no emotion, as they play with a small box in their hand.

He once heard them mutter, "damnit Travis, why'd you leave me?"
