Zane x Aphmau // Courage

"Come on! We're gonna be late!" Yelled Emmalyn, as I stumbled after her.
"Please I don't want to do this." I mumbled. After I had accidentally told my friend of my fear, she insisted that I build up some courage. I've always been nervous around guys. I guess that's partially my own fault since I go to an all girls school, and I had somehow convinced myself that boys are bad news. Emmalyn knows now, so there's no point in hiding it. Enough mulling over this. I have no choice do I?
"This is the perfect chance to ask that one guy out! Trust me, this will help you out! He crosses the bridge around this time so there's no time to lose," giggled Emmalyn.
Ugh, we're here, and he's just a couple yards away. Emmalyn moves over to Tue other side to watch from afar. I glare at her, and she returns it with a wink. So, his name is Zane? Emmalyn thought he would be perfect since he seems a bit distant, not to energetic. I'm already sweating!
I walk up shyly, and he turns around. Crap! I'm panicking! What do I say!
"I- uh um... GO OUT WITH ME! I- please?" I manage to get out that much! So embarrassing.
"I- sure" was all he said. Wait. HE SAID YES! Now what? I decided to run off towards Emmalyn
"So? How'd it go?"
I wanted to deny it but, there's no going back. "Well, you see, he said yes," I squeaked out, my face beet red. Emmalyn's face immediately lit up. This'll be a tough day.

.:Zane:.
This day couldn't get any better. First, a girl asked me out, second, I managed to not blow it! And third, I said yes! But what'll I do now? Crap I didn't get her number either. Plus I never asked where well go. What kind of date am I? I'll only know when school gets out. Wait, I don't even go to the same school as her. I should get going, don't want to be late for class. What do I tell my friends?!

5 min later...

"Whoa!! No way! My big bro got a girlfriend! Congrats. Who's the lucky girl?" Questioned Vylad. I squirmed nervously, I never asked her name!

" Well um you see.." I started.

"Ay, stop pestering him, can't you see he's nervous?" poked Garroth. I silently thanked him for saving me the trouble of Vylad's lecture. I was hoping most of the questions would come after today, since after the date I would now her better. I sighed as I watched the two friendly argue over my date and I. Honestly, I wish I could just skip to the end of the day and see her, but I'm always so nervous, I'll probably just make it awkward. I pray to Irene that it goes well, as I start doing my school work, thinking about the things I could say to her.

.:Aphmau:.

"Now, the first step to a good date is too keep them interested, ask questions and make small conversation!" reviewed Emmalyn. I jot down the steps in my notes, not wanting to mess up my first date. It's not like I haven't seen him before, we've passed each other a couple times. He even helped me, but I ran off embarrassed, like I always do. I realized I zoned out and snapped back to reality.

"That's the bell Aph! It's time!" squealed Emmalyn. "This time your on your own, tell me all about it after!" My heart skipped a beat, and I groaned. What if it goes horribly wrong? OK, Aph stop worrying, he said yes for a reason. Right? Never mind about that. Heading off to the bridge where I asked him, I saw him waiting. My face instantly got hot, and my palms were sweaty. I swear my heart stopped when he looked at me. OK, don't panic, don't panic. My face cooled off at least and i managed to smile weakly and wave. He walks up and I catch a glimpse of his face before I quickly look away. He seemed nervous too, maybe this won't be so bad.

"Uh hey again" Zane greeted. I try to smile again and respond but the words get stuck in my throat. I clear my throat and hope he didn't notice my little predicament there. "Y-yeah hey. I uh I'm Aphmau... I uh don't think I told you y-yet" I responded, maybe this isn't so hard.

" Heh yea, uh pretty name." My face gets hot again. "Do you want to go to the park?" He asked. I nod, that actually sounded pretty nice. On the way there, we actually made some small conversation, abd we had fun at the park too! Maybe this isn't so bad. Courage builds up inside me, but so does something else. Maybe I hope we can be friends, or maybe even more. I blush as we depart, heading home.
