~ Garrmau ~
Fight For Revenge

"He's here." Aphmau stiffened, gripping her sword tighter as she gazed up at the large gates of O'khasis.
Her best friend and best guard, Laurence, stood by her side, giving her concerned looks. Behind him was an army of 20,000 men, waiting for the command to attack.
Aphmau turned to face her army. She knew she had the men, the power, the courage to take down O'khasis.
She just knew it.
"Listen up!" Aphmau shouted to the army. They all stopped in their tracks as their leader began to speak. "In this castle is Garroth Ro'Meave! If you find him, bring him to me! No one else is to be harmed unless they try to harm you! Just. Bring. Me. Garroth!"
The army cheered, their spirits rising. They all knew their mission. The one mission to take down O'khasis and their leader's enemy:
Find Garroth Ro'Meave, the Lord of O'khasis, for Lord Aphmau.
So she could kill him.
No one but Laurence knew of the reason she wanted Garroth dead.
Her once best friend had betrayed her village by giving the previous Lord of O'khasis - who was Garroth's father - the location of their secret base while Phoenix Drop hid for reinforcements.
Her once best friend had refused to apologize to Aphmau and the village for what he had done.
Her once best friend...
Had broken a Aphmau's loving heart.
"Ready Laurence?" Aphmau asked, giving the brown-haired guard a sideways look. Her dark eyes were full of emotion, ones she kept up inside.
Laurence just looked at the gate and nodded. "Yeah. Let's go."
Aphmau exhaled and slowly raised her snow white broad sword up to the sky.
This.
Is.
It.
"CHARGE!" Aphmau exclaimed. She pushed off the ground with her feet and began sprinting towards the gate. The army cried out and followed their leader on the fight for revenge.
-----
"They're here, my Lord." The young, red-haired guard said, looking out the tower window to the large army below. He looked over his shoulder at the blonde man sitting in the corner with his head hanging low.
"I know." Garroth's reply was short and thick with sadness. His blue eyes looked down at the dirt stained floor.
I was so foolish. I gave in to my father's temptations. I...I failed Aphmau. Garroth thought, bringing his hands to his pale face.
"Would you like me to tell the guards to fight them, my Lord?" The guard asked, keeping his eyes on Garroth and the closed door across the room.
"No. Let...let her in." Garroth mumbled, letting his hands fall.
He gently rose to his feet, his royal purple cape falling off his shoulders to reveale the guard outfit he wore at Phoenix Drop. Garroth walked over to the window and looked down on the army.
Please..come find me, Aphmau. A small smile appeared on Garroth's lips as he waited. Just waited.
The young guard nodded and walked out of the room, gently closing the door behind him. He sighed as he gave the door one last glance and ran down the tower stairs to let the guests in.
-----
"Ma'am." Aphmau turned to the owner of the voice. It was one of the many guards from Scaleswind that had helped her take O'khasis - without hurting anyone.
"Yes?" Aphmau asked. She was standing in the middle of O'khasis at that very moment, looking over the village with interest.
"We found him." With those three words, Aphmau took off like rocket in the direction the guard was pointing: A brick two-story house across the street.
The second she opened the door, Aphmau knew he was there. The anger inside her boiled as she pushed the door open.
But that anger dissolved.
Sitting in the middle of the room in a chair - with his hands tied behind his back and three guards surrounding him - was the man she had been hunting for three months.
Garroth.
His blonde haired head was hanging low, so Aphmau couldn't see his icy blue eyes as she entered the room. She noticed he was wearing the Phoenix Drop guard outfit for so long ago.
As she looked at him, Aphmau found that her anger, her fighting spirit, her broken heart disappeared. All she felt was sadness to see her old friend like this.
"Untie him." Aphmau commanded the guards. They all nodded and quickly undid the bonds that held Garroth's hands.
"Leave us." They once again nodded at Aphmau's command and exited the house.
She gazed at Garroth, his head still lowered. She couldn't find any words to say. After months of searching, she had found him, but she didn't know what to do, say, or even think.
"So -" Garroth's smooth voice came to Aphmau's ears, surprising her. "- I hear you've come to kill me." He chuckled slightly.
"W-what you did was unforgivable." Aphmau felt her emotions come over her. She tried pushing them back down, but she knew...
She had held them in too long.
"I know. But I'm still going to ask for forgiveness." Garroth gently raised his head, his blue eyes soft and gentle. "I'm sorry, Aphmau. I did something terrible to you and to Phoenix Drop. I was blinded by my father's attempts to make me his puppet. I'm not trying to make you spare my life..I'm just asking for forgiveness."
He lowered his head again, closing his eyes to calm the waves of tears that were coming to his eyes.
A sob echoed the room and Garroth looked up. His eyes widened at the sight of his friend crying, her hands pressed to her eyes and her shoulders trembling.
"No. I-I can't." Aphmau sobbed, trying to speak through her tears. "No one could forgive you for what you've done."
Garroth looked to the side, his own tears falling to the floor. "I kn-"
Aphmau shot forward, her arms circling around Garroth's neck. She burried her face in his shoulder and exclaimed, "But I can! I-I love you Garroth!"
Garroth put his arms around Aphmau's sobbing body. "I love you too Aphmau."
The Fight For Revenge has ended.
