❝The rain falling reminds me of you, because it's falling hard, and I am too; but for you.❞

It was a rainy day in the village of Phoenix Drop and Malachi was inside his little cottage, looking out of the slightly foggy window, with nothing to do.

"Hey bro, you wanna spar with me?" asked Levin, who had literally just came inside the door, which was very unexpected, however, Malachi did not seem to notice Levin in the slightest.
The words flew right by him and Levin felt a bit awkward that Malachi hadn't responded.
"MALACHI! So do you?!"
"Huh? Oh sorry... I don't feel like it right now. I'm going for a walk in the rain."
"What? Who does that?! Anyways, I won't stop you, just don't come back sick, otherwise i'll get Zoey to brew and force-feed you one of her goopy-fish-stews."

And just like that, Malachi ran outside the house not wanting to get anywhere near Zoey and her stew, and then he had ended up on the ground, slipping over a muddy puddle, which he thought was very careless of him.
He barely even set foot on the path, and he had already tripped and gotten himself more wet than he thought he would get.

"Are you okay?" asked a soft voice, and it seemed to be coming from a girl.
Malachi lifted his head up, and pushed his arms out to get up from the ground. He stared at the unfamiliar girl who had hazel locks and a pair of sparkling pale green eyes, and could only keep staring until the girl managed to snap Malachi out of his fantasy land when the both of them had made eye contact.

"U-um, I'm fine... Hi, I'm Malachi. You must be new here," he spoke, scratching his chocolate-coloured hair, which was now wet with a slight bit of mud and rain.
"Hello, Ma-la-chi...? Oh, and yea, I just moved here..."

Malachi walked around town for a bit with Abby, in the rain that is. After a brief introduction during their walk, the both arrived at Malachi and Levin's house, and Malachi welcomed Abby inside.
Levin had brought towels for the two to dry off.
Malachi went to his room to change out of his soaking clothes and Abby had changed into Zoey's clothes, in Zoey's room. After changing, Malachi, Abby and Levin were chatting in the living room while Zoey was cooking her goopy-fish-stew, because Malachi was starting to sneeze again, as Levin had predicted.

"Wow so... That's how you managed to get here?" inquired Levin, curious about Abby's past.
"Crossing the forest wasn't easy!" replied Abby.
"Uh hey... Levin, isn't it time for Zoey and you to do that job by the shore?" asked Malachi, turning his gaze from Abby to Levin.
"Huh? Oh yea!" Levin got up off the small leather couch and walked into the kitchen. "Zoey, stop cooking, it's time to go to the shore."

"Ah! I forgot about that!" Zoey responded back, and was now trying to calm down the small fire emitting from the furnace.

After some hustling and after Zoey had placed the fish stew on the table for Malachi and Abby, she and Levin left the little cottage, which left Malachi and Abby alone.
They stared at each other for a while, the both of them could sense the awkwardness in the air.

Malachi desperately wanted to break the ice, and wanted to say something to Abby, and so, he blurted out random words.
"You look beautiful," they were the words that had come out of his mouth.
Abby giggled, and covered her mouth with her sleeve as she did so.

Malachi had just realized what he had said and then he started to blush a crimson red, adjusting his position slightly and looking down at the floor.
And just then, out of nowhere, Malachi felt a warm and soft touch pressing against his lips. It was Abby.

The kiss sent a spiraling chill down the couple's bodies, but that chill was soon replaced with warmth, and Malachi could smell the scent of Zoey's clothes on Abby.
She lifted her lips from Malachi's, and giggled.

"If you like me, just say so!"
