Aphmau paces around the campfire, unsure if it's time to tell her secret. I mean, I liked Aaron and I will no matter what keep his child but... How will Garroth react?

Aphmau had just finished talking about the topic to Laurance who said he already knew as was planning to leave the island as he cannot bare the news. It left Aphmau it tears but even worse, it made her scared of Garroth's reaction.

She lightly rubbed her stomach, feeling the tingling sensation of Aaron and her's child kicking. It made her laugh but gasp in pain at the same time, leaving a weird feeling of emptiness. She laid down on the wooden bench, pondering of the worse reactions from Garroth and what would have happened if Aaron never sacrificed his life.

She decided it was time to tell her dear friend, leaving her swirling emotions behind her. If he didn't support her, he wasn't a true guard or friend.

She slowly walked to where he was helping Vlyad finish building the house they talked in just days ago. She breathed and gradually creaked the door open.

"Garroth?" She gulped, continuing. "May we talk? In private outside? I have something important to discuss with you..."

"Is it about saving my mother?" He looked at her, anticipated with the thought of reuniting with their mother.

"*Ahem*." Aphmau coughed, to clear her throat. "I will get to that later, yes, but not this discussion."

"Oh." Garroth responded, looking saddened by his initial thoughts being overrun by other news. "S-Sure. I'll be right out. Be back in a second, Vlyad."

"No problem." Vlyad said from up the stairs, the familiar hammer continuing to tap away at the walls.

They walked out together as Aphmau grabs for his hand, slowly intertwining their fingers. Garroth blushed while Aphmau felt tears drip from her eyes, remembering the amazing moments like this with Aaron. The fun walks, little talks, and nothing stressful about anything in the world.

Garroth seemed shocked and concerned, slowly wiping away her soaked cheeks with his hands. Aphmau nodded for him to stop after she finished tearing up.

"Aphmau..." Garroth mumbled, letting his voice soothe out and not show any signs of stress and anxiety. "Tell me, Whats... wrong?"

"N-Nothing. I'm happy; More than happy... ecstatic! I'm just... wondering... how you'll react..."

"To what?" He responded with, his voice turning shaky and unsure.

"I... I'm pregnant." She sighed, the tear flowing again and her thoughts and memories flooding back. She remembered how it happened, in the woods that morning. It was everything she imagined and more; yet she secretly wished it was with Laurance or Garroth so it wouldn't have come as a shock. Why do you think of that Aphmau? Didn't you love Aaron? Do you truly even love Garroth or Laurance as much as him?

"Aphmau..." He whispered, keeping his gaze directly on her abdomen. Teardrops laced his eyes as he continued staring at the belly. "Tell me who the f-father is. I'm not mad I just... AH!.... I need time to think. Just please..."

"It's Aaron." She whimpered, attempting to look him in the eyes with no such luck. Garroth kept a straight face, yet his tone and weeping told Aphmau otherwise.

"I- I understand." He managed, imaging Aaron's resilience and bravery, but adding on romance with Aphmau. It made his brain twist and turn, as he didn't know if this was an okay thing or not.

"I'm sorry Garroth." She cried, engulfing him in a warm hug. It caught Garroth by surprise, but he remembered this was her beaming personality he fell in love with.

"Aphmau. I still love you. No matter what. You should know this by now." Garroth sighed, clinging onto Aphmau and cherishing the wonderful moment.

"You know I cannot return those feelings right now." Aphmau responded, pulling away and drying her tears with a smile. "I'm glad you didn't run away like Laurance. He.... Left." She let out a distressed gasp as she fell onto the dirt path they we talking on.

Garroth helped her to her feet, careful not to hurt the child. "I'm sorry Aph, I really am."

"Garroth.... I'm just glad you didn't storm off. If you give me time to grief and think... I could find time for... Us." Aphmau smiled, grabbing a little flower and placing it in his hands. Aphmau quickly pecked his cheek as she walked off to nap with Lillith, relieved on how well Garroth took the sudden news.

"WAIT!" Garroth yelled as Aphmau flipped her head to face Garroth. "LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANNA TALK!"

"Okay" she giggled, turning back around. "I'll discuss how to save your mother later this evening."

"And Garroth?"

"Yes?" he asked from where he was standing.

"Thank you."
