Chapter 53

Tris pov

I was checked into a room at the hospital. They did some test and are waiting for the results.

"Do you think I'm going to okay" I say holding Tobias hand.

"Yes baby, your going to be fine. Stop worrying" Tobias says bringing my hand up and kissing it.

My parents and Tobias parents sit in the chairs in my room talking, while Tobias holds my hand sitting next to me.

The doctor comes in and walks over to the other side of my bed. The side Tobias is not on.

"So the good thing is your not pregnant, I knew you all we mainly worried about that" the doctor says smiling

"But Tris, it does look like your appendix needs to be taken out. Thats whats causing the pain in your stomach" the doctor adds and I squeeze Tobias out.

"That means surgery" I say

"Yes" she answers

"It's a small surgery, you'll be fine" she adds and I nod.

"Okay" I say

"So well do the procedure tonight, then we'll have you home in about 2 days" she says and I nod.

"Okay" I say

"Any questions" she ask, everyone in the room shakes their head and she leaves.

"Thanks doctor" my mom says and comes over to my side.

"How ya feeling" she ask me

"Better, since they gave me those pain meds" I say

"That's good" she says brushing my hair back with her hand.

"Nervous" she ask

"A little" I say and Tobias squeezes my hand.

"There's nothing to he nervous about, your going to be in and out of the operating room" he says and I smile.

"Okay" I say

"Here let her rest until surgery" my dad says to my mom and Tobias parents

"Tobias is staying with me" I say, and he nods okay, then they leave.

I move over in the small hospital bed and give room for Tobias to lay.

He wraps his arms around me, and I lay my head on his chest. He kisses my head then we fall asleep.

I open my eyes and see that I'm in a different room then before. The last thing I remember is getting ready to go to surgery.

I look over and see Tobias sleeping in a chair next to my bed. I try to sit up but feel a small pain.

I wince which causes Tobias to wake up.

"Hey, how ya feeling" he ask

"The doctor says the surgery went well" he adds

"I'm in a little pain but nothing major like before" I say

"How long was I asleep" I ask

"They brought you back from surgery about an hour ago, so yeah you've been sleeping for an hour" he says

"Do you want anything" he ask

"No but where's my mom" I say

"They went to get something to eat" he says

"Are they getting me something" I ask

"Sorry baby but the doctor said your only allowed soft foods for now" he says and I sigh.
