Chapter 13

Tris pov

I just got to school and I'm running late because I had really bad morning sickness. I hurry to my locker and open it. Books start falling out, so I groan. Just my luck.

I bend down and sigh. This is kind of difficult when your 6 months pregnant.

Someone walks over and starts to help me pick the books up. I look up and see that it's Tobias.

"Thanks" I say grabbing the books from his hand.

"How have you been" he says

"Good, just trying to deal with this one day at a time, being 6 months pregnant isn't the best thing right now" I say and he chuckles.

"If you ever need any help, you can always call me" he says

"Yeah, I know. But I can handle things on my own" I say

"Just saying, if you ever did. I'm always here for you" he says and I give an annoyed smile then, walk away.

"Tris..." He says and I turn around

"My parents and I were wondering when your next appointment was, I know it's the appointment when you find out the sex of the baby. I was- we were wondering if we could go" he ask and I nod.

"It's this Thursday, after school" I say

"I was going to tell you" I add

"Okay I'll be there" he says

"And so will my parents" he adds

"Okay bye, I got to get to class" I say awkwardly

"Bye" he says then I walk away.

I'm walking to class when I bump into someone and it makes me fall to the floor.

"Hey watch where your going" I say trying to get up. I still haven't looked at the person.

"Oh my- I'm sorry tris I didn't mean too" the familiar voice says. It's Al.

"It's fine, but Can I get a little help up" I say holding my hand out. He grabs my hand and lifts me up.

"I'm so sorry, I should have been watching where I was going" he says

"It's okay. I'm fine" I say

"How's life been" he says changing the subject.

"Fine, I guess" I say and he nods

"You" I add

"My life's been okay" he says and I smile.

"How are you parents" he adds

"Good, and yours" I say, this conversation is kind of getting awkward like everything else in my life.

"There good" he says, then the 1st period bell rings.

"See you around" I say, then walking away.

Am I an awkward person...

(Time jump to Thursday)

I'm in the car with my parents driving to the doctors office. I'm not looking forward to seeing Tobias. His parents are going to be there and once again it's going to be awkward.

"Hey honey, do you want to grab a bite to eat before going to the doctors" my mom says from the passenger seat, pulling me out of my daze.

"No I'm fine" I say

"Okay" she says and I close my eyes and decide to take a short nap.

I'm woken up by a car door opening. I rub my eyes and strength my arms out. I unlock my seatbelt and get out the car.

"I was going to help you out" my dad says

"It's okay I can get out myself" I say with a sigh.

I waddle my way to the office door and before I can grab the handle, someone else is doing it for me.

I look over and see Tobias. He smiles at me but I just keep walking in.

"Tris" he says running up to me.

"You can't keep ignoring Me" he says holding my hand and I take a deep breath before talking.

"When are you going to understand that you really hurt me. You were my everything and then to hear that you cheated broke my heart" I say almost in tears.

"I know and I'm sorry, just give me another chance" he says and I close my eyes and tears fall down my face.

I don't know what to do.

"Fine" I say and he hugs me. He hugs me a little too tight that I have to pat his arm to release me.

"Your squishing the baby" I say and we laugh.

Our parents walk in and see us holding hands.

"Are you guys back together" Evelyn says and I look at Tobias smiling.

"Yea" we say at the same time.

"Good because I hate that Lauren girl" Evelyn adds and I kind of giggle.

"So who's ready to find out the results" my mom says and we cheer.

Today is going pretty good, I got Tobias back and I'm also going to find out the gender of my baby.

I had a dream that theo James was my dentist 😂
