~1 year before the accident~

Namjoon stumbled up the stairs, Jin accompanying him as he almost fell off the elder's shoulder. Jin had done this so many times, he knew the tricks to how they'd make it up the stairs without any bumps, bruises or broken bones.

"Gosh...why are you so heavy?" Jin heaved the hulking Namjoon onto his bed and fell over next to him as he sucked in highly needed puffs of air.

Taehyung had left with the taxi, his stop a little further than Namjoon's and Jin's. He had offered to help with carrying Namjoon, but Jin insisted he made his way home before the sun made it's way into the sky. And besides, it was nearly three hours into the day after they had decided to drink their worries away. Jin had less worries, it seemed, than Namjoon.

"I love you Jin." Namjoon mumbled, alcohol seeped into the tone of his voice. Jin snapped his head toward the younger, and then remembered how morbidly drunk he had gotten himself just a few minutes before he hurled Namjoon into the taxi. His blond hair, once a laid back organised style had now transformed into a menacing array of mangled platinum blond strands of perfection. To Jin of course, to anyone else it would be further away from perfection than anything. But Jin, thought that in every way, Namjoon was stunningly flawless.

His imagination went wild when he thought of all the things they could do, now that Namjoon was so drunk and vulnerable, but his conscience halted his filthy mind and slapped him back into reality, telling him that Namjoon was no more than a close friend and treasured room mate. But this nagging could only suppress his feelings to a certain point before he completely lost his mind.

"Yeah, sure, I love you too." Jin said mockingly, patting his broad shoulder and standing up to tuck his friend into bed. As he stared ever longingly into his room mate's closed eyes, he found himself saddened by the impossibility of his a romance to blossom between them and decided to retire to his bed chambers. But when he turned to exit the room, a pull at the hem of his t-shirt stopped him in his tracks, and caused him to shift his gaze back onto his room mate's alcohol filled carcass.

"Jin...stay..." he whispered, starting to feebly pull him in between the covers to join Namjoon. "...don't leave me..." He pleaded, his eyes fixed on the elder's phased expression.

Jin was momentarily hypnotised by the younger's words, but quickly realised that Namjoon wasn't himself at that moment and gently pried his wrist back so Namjoon would let go. "I'm not going anywhere Joonie, I'll be in my room."

"No, don't go! Sleep with me." He demanded, is slurred tone not making it easy for Jin to take him seriously.

Jin scoffed and shook his head "You're drunk. Just go to sleep, I'll see you in the morning." He started for the door yet again, but for a second time, a handful of his shirt was grabbed. Only this time his entire body was pulled underneath the covers and suffocated into a hug. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Jin almost squealed, his anxiousness getting the better of him, secretly excited about the startling turn of events.

"I said 'stay' Jin," he held Jin's head in his arms and engulfed him under the comforter. "now stay." He commanded. Jin sighed, knowing he wouldn't get his way tonight.

"Ok fine," he felt heat rising to his cheeks as he turned around to wrapp his arms around Namjoon's torso. "I won't go anywhere, I promise. But could you loosen up on my head, I feel like I might get a hangover if you carry on holding so tight." Namjoon's tight grip loosened and Jin relaxed into Namjoon's toned chest.

"Jin?" Namjoon let out a breathy sigh as he said his hyung's name, sounding close to desperate. Jin lifted his head and stared up at the rapping composer he'd come to love so much, but dared not make the first move to ruining everything he'd worked so hard to cement. Namjoon eased himself into the covers so he was facing Jin. By now, Jin had gathered enough heat in his cheeks to supply the whole of South Korea with warmth during a blizzard filled winter. Namjoon's intense stare into his hazel eyes didn't help with that.

"W-what now?" Jin tried to sound annoyed but it only resulted in him sounding like a nervous tsundere, because of the stutter. Namjoon leaned in close, his breath hitting Jin's soft pink lips and his chinky eyes gaped open as Namjoon closed the gap between them. Jin was shocked at first, he doubted Namjoon was going to remember this tomorrow but he went along with it anyway.

He'll forget about it anyway, so what's the use in wasting a perfectly good make out session?

He kept chanting that sentence in his head, but we all know what he was really thinking. Deep in the back of his mind, one of his long awaited fantasies were coming true.

Namjoon deepened the kiss, Jin found himself unlatching his grasp on Namjoon's torso and his hands making their way up to Namjoon's already chaotic platinum blond hair, and tangling his hands in the damp strands. Namjoon's touch snaked a path down Jin's back, eventually grabbing Jin's butt, Jin moaned at the sudden act of dominance, but again, 'played along' and carried on messing with the young song writer's hair. Namjoon's dominance rose higher, as he inserted his tongue into the elder's mouth and explored what laid inside those plump, juicy lips that Jin always tortured him with. How long had he wanted to caress Jin's lips using his own? A painfully long time.

The kiss must have lasted a short five minutes before they gasped for oxygen, and when Namjoon pulled away, he wished he hadn't. Their forehead's still connected, he uttered words Jin was never going to forget. He didn't have a choice.

"Jin...I..." Namjoon hesitated, making his elder uneasy. "...I really did mean it when I said I love you..." and his uneasiness was swept away like the wind...
