School was sent on a temprorary hiatus, while Jimin looked for his long lost saviour. All over Seoul he searched for the information, any information that led him to the 'love of his life', dragging his sister along with him for the ride.
"Oppa~!" She stumbled behind him, not comprehending the need to even look for this missing person. She wasn't a detective and she couldn't care less about this person Jimin was so fixated on. She preferred him with Yoongi. Yoongi was the type of person her brother needed, Jimin acted strong and dependable, but deep down, she knew that he wanted to depend on someone instead of someone depending on him. It was what he always did for people, they depended on him and Jimin got nothing back but worry. Plus, the violent flirting he did with Yoongi was evidence of his feelings for Yoongi. "Why the hell did I have to come?" She complained.
"Because..." he stopped in his tracks, turning around, preparing for a dramatic speech. Minji halted to a stop, anticipating an inspirational talk. "...Hobie and Kookie refused to go with me!" Minji almost toppled over with shocked dissatisfaction.
"WHAT?!" She screamed. "AM I JUST BACK UP TO YOU NOW?!" She threw a tantrum right there in the middle of the street, many innocent bystanders looking their way in amusement and disturbance. "DO I MEAN THAT LITTLE TO YOU!? YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SH-" Jimin silenced her before she threw out profanities, covering her mouth and nose abruptly as she flailed her arms all over the place.
"SHHH MIN-AH!" He commanded. "People are staring!" He whisper shouted, she tried to pry his fingers away from her mouth and nose so that her airways could, you know...get air in and out of them, so she wouldn't have to say goodbye to the world for such a stupid reason. And you know, to breathe? Jimin removed his hand from her mouth and nose, and immediately she sucked in air, unable to breathe comfortably for a few seconds.
"You know, all you had to do was cover my mouth to shut me up," she breathed heavily. "But you just had to cover my nostrils too." She said between desperate airy spaces in her sentence. "I swear to God, you're gonna actually kill me one of these days." She held her hand to her chest and sucked several more puffs of air into her system.
"You know very well that's not true." Jimin retorted. "You would've carried on talking if you had access to air and you know it." He crossed his arms over his chest and smiled cunningly at his younger sister. She had grown so much these past twenty years, her hair had grown a lot, he remembered it to be a lot shorter than it was six months ago, it reached half way down her lower back, but before it only covered the expanse of her shoulder blades.
"C'mon, we need to find him." He jestured for her to follow, making Minji trudge after him reluctantly. Her staggers became a little forced as they reached the book store. Jimin loved to read, one of many escapes he possessed while he was bed ridden for a few weeks in the hospital after he woke up from his coma. He also loved reading as a child, all the way through to man hood.
"I don't understand why you wanna find this guy so badly." Minji linked arms with her brother. "I mean, he's got to have no care in the world for you if he just up and left when he heard you were awake." She reasoned with him, but Jimin was as stubborn as ever.
"He's here." He insisted. "He's got to have a good explanation for leaving me."
"Like?" Jimin stayed quiet, trying to think of a good enough reason for him to do such a thing. But when he couldn't find one, he looked at his sister nervously, preparing for a burn mark. "Exactly." She said mercifully. "If he liked you so much, he would've stayed."
"I'll find out when I find him." Jimin stated. "I'm sure of it." Jimin said with a determined tone. It was impossible to convince him, impossible to shift his decisions, impossible to change his mind. He was a man after all, it was what they were good at, sticking to their ways.
"Oppa.." she felt sorry for him. He was searching for someone who didn't exsist, most likely.
"Excuse me miss?" They approached the librarian who worked there at that hour. "Hi, do you remember me by any chance?" He asked her politely. She adjusted the glasses on her wrinkled face and narrowed her eyes at Jimin. And then finally, her eyes lit up in finally remembering.
"Ooh! Yes, I remember you!" She clapped her hands. "Jimin ssi? Maja? (A/N: Right?)" She asked. Jimin nodded. "What brings you here? It's been a while."
"Ahh yes, I'm aware of the hiatus I took from visiting." Jimin scratched the back of his head. "I've been looking for someone you see."
"Oh?"
"Yeah." He smiled anxiously. "Did you ever see me here with anyone? Or did I always come alone?" The librarian tilted her head to the side, unsure of what the boy was asking. Surely he remembers who he came here with. Observing her puzzled face, Jimin brought out his explanation. "I was in an accident, and from it I got a bit of amnesia." She nodded, finally understanding the situation. He explained he was looking for the person who saved him in the car accident.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear you've had such an ordeal happen." She patted his elbow. "But the only people I've ever seen you here with is your sister, Hoseok ssi and this blond headed kid with the huge headphones." Jimin's eyes perked up. He didn't know a blond person, he didn't know anyone with huge headphones.
"Really?!" He asked excitedly. "What's his name?! Did he ever take a book out?! Was I here with him often?!" His excitement filled the room, the once quiet sanctuary that many crawled to for silence and concentration.
"Well, I guess he came along with you a few times," she stepped back from the young, extravagant creature. Words had so much power, a few words could trigger some of the biggest disasters of a lifetime, words could drive a person to suicide, but in this case, these next words could be the ticket to Jimin's happiness. "But he never checked out any books, he always just sat there, infront of you, watching you read and sometimes you would hide away in one of those cupped chairs and lay there until we closed." Jimin felt his face melt downwards a little, but he had to admit, that part about the cup chairs was adorable.
They exited the library, hyperactive Jimin jumped up and down, signaling his joy to everyone around him in a one mile radius. Unfortunately, this meant that Minji got a front row seat for her brother's cringe worthy performance of jubilance.
"How the hell can you be sure it's him?!" She asked, unentertained by Jimin's sudden jump for conclusions.
"I don't know any blonds!" He beamed at her widely.
"But you don't even know if she has her head on straight!" Minji countered. "That woman is at least seventy years old, you don't know if her sight's all that good!" She found herself going against everything her brother would bring up. "And...what about Yoongi oppa?" She asked, hoping he would come to his senses.
"What about him?" He giggled, his cheerful voice unwavering.
"You like him! I know you do!"
"What?" He smiled curiously at her. "When...since when did you ever get a suspicion like that?!"
"It's not a suspicion! I know you do!" She forced out a whine and pulled on his bisep. "I've seen the way you look at him."
"You know, everyone's saying that." Jimin laughed. He sensed her discomfort and disapproval of his so called soul mate. "Hobie hyung said it the other night at the club. It's really nothing Min-ah, I just find some parts of him aesthetically pleasing. But it's really nothing more than raw attraction," he took her hands, held them in his and tried to console his younger sister. "Min-ah, I can really feel he's near, I just know it." He looked her dead in the eye. "So, could you trust in me, just this once?"...
