Chapter 20

~Toshiro P.O.V~

Why did she tell us to leave?!' 

"Everyone do as she said! Leave now!" I yelled. 'She Must of had a reason for this!' Everyone scattered because of the importance of my voice. We all went. Then I looked back and I wish I didn't. The last thing I saw as (Y/N)'s sphere exploding with fire coming from within. Then I saw her falling. I flash-stepped to catch her and gently place her on the ground. I saw Aizen across from her. 'Did she do it? Did she defeat him?' Then I looked at her and she was still breathing, barley. 

"Kira! Come here now!" I yelled tears prickling at the corner of my eyes.

"What's wrong Captain?!" He asked in concern

"She's still breathing but she's terribly injured. Do something please!" I yelled. He looked confused for a while oblivious to our relationship. Not many people know about our relationship so I expected confusion from people who didn't know.

"Yes Captain!" He yelled after he thought for a while. Then I heard movement behind me. I didn't think much of it before I heard a chuckle. I spun my head around then my eyes were wide.

"Aizen!" I yelled as his wounds were healing. 

"Did she really give up her life. Did she really think she could kill me with an attack like that?!"He smirked. 'She gave her life for this! (Y/N) I promise I will defeat him! For my pride and for you!' I unsheathed my Zanpakuto and I was being to reckless and just swung and hope for the best.

"Toshiro!" I heard my voice being called and saw Ichigo. Then thats when Urahara, Yoruichi, and someone else. 'Wait? Captain Shiba?! After all of these years, he's still alive!' I saw Captain Shiba push Ichigo aside. And Urahara and Yoruichi began fighting Aizen. At the moment I was too weak to fight, but I had to. I flash-stepped towards them but Urahara pushed me away.

"You can't fight him Captain. You have to much anger, and that means that you will fight recklessly and you could get killed!"

"But I need to kill him! Urahara step aside!" 

"I'm afraid I cannot do that. Go with Isshin, Trust me you'll need it. He's a close friend of (Y/N) take her with you." I wasn't going to question him. So I nodded then flash-stepped to get her and carry her in my arms. I flash-stepped towards my former Captain and Ichigo.

"Toshiro?! What are you doing here?!" Ichigo asked obviously confused as to why I'm not fighting. I placed (Y/N) down gently. 

"Don't worry Urahara refuses to let me fight because of the amount of rage that is building inside my very being." I looked up and saw Captain Shiba. It was defiantly him.

"Captain?! What are you doing here?! I thought you died!" I yelled furiously.

"Well Toshiro, it seems as if you've grown a lot more that I expected. You became a Captain too. Is Rangiku still the same?"

"Now is not the time Captain!"

"Toshiro you know my dad?"

"This is your dad? Of course. I knew you resembled Kaien in some way. Well captain is this why you didn't come back?"

"One of the reasons yes. But what happened to (Y/N)?" He asked concerned.

"She used her full power and knew she was going to give her life just to defeat Aizen. But he survived. And I will never see her again if she dies! I couldn't handle it if I lost her Captain!" Even if it had been 20 years i still trusted him. He was the same man after all.

"Toshiro. Uhm. Captain Hitsugaya, you really love her don't you?"

"You can tell? Is it that obvious?"
