"What's so scary about a blind prophet?" I asked.
"Since he has the gift of foresight, he can see our every move, plus he was given the life of seven men, and he has the wisdom of twice that. Not all enemies can be brawn."
"What's he gonna do, talk us to death?" I asked stepped out even though Will hissed to me.
Tiresias who was walking towards the fire, perked up when he heard me walking towards him. "Ah, Jamie Landis, daughter of Zeus." He said with a faint smile. "And William Solace, son of Apollo."
Will walked out and joined me. "What's your plan?" Will whispered to me.
I just gave him a smirk, and looked back to Tiresias. "Will says that you have the gift of prophecy, that must mean you must know why we're here."
"You want to retrieve the Lotus Staff." He said.
"Yes, now, if it's not to much of a problem, can we have it?" I asked. Tiresias let out a cry and croaking laugh, which made me cringe, and judging by Will's stares at me, it thought I was an idiot. "What, it was worth a try." I countered.
"He's guarding it for a reason, he's not just gonna give it to us." Will said.
"Quite right." Tiresias said. "You know, I used to be good friends with both your fathers, well that was till your father let Hera curse me with this blindess, and your father shot me with one of his golden arrows killing me."
"You can't blame us for what our fathers did." I snapped, I knew I had daddy issues, but just with the small amount of time I had spent with Will, I knew he did too.
"Ah, but I can blame you for what you've done." He said. I tried to rack through my brain wondering what kind of dirt he had on me, but by the look on Will's face he was directing this more towards him. "Let's take a trip down little Will's memory lane, shall we."
Tiresias, who had had his eyes closed the whole time since we had met him, opened them to reveal that they were completely white, and he stared at us, and suddenly my feet left the ground, and I started falling. Instinctivly I reached out for Will's hand, and we held onto each other until the falling sensation stopped and we had landed somewhere that I didn't recognize.
It was a small cottage, and it was out in the forest. It looked quite peaceful.
"Where are we?" I asked looking to Tiresias.
"Ask your friend."
"Will?" I asked looked to him, but his face was pale, and tears brimmed his eyes. It hurt me seeing him this way, so vunerable.
Just as I was about to yell at Tiresias, the door to the cottage opened up to reveal a small blonde haired boy who I recognized right away as little Will. He was cute and innocent looking, and his eyes held less hurt.
Little Will started running through the yard, and another boy who looked to be around Will's age or a bit older ran out to join him, and I could tell by the boy's walk, he was a Satyr. They were playing tag, and as they did two older people walked out on the porch and watched them play.
However, the happy scene soon took a nasty turn, when a hiss' filled the air. At first I thought it was a group of snakes, but my guess only was half right, out of the forest came a stomping beast that had seven snake heads. Not really knowing greek mythology all that much, I knew this monster, it was a hydra.
I looked back to Little Will to see him running back to his parents, who had looks of terror on their faces. Who knew what they saw since the Mist was blurring them from the truth.
