I turned to leave, and Apollo jumped down from his throne, and shrunk down to our size. He jogged to walk next to me. "How's it going Jamie?" He asked.
"Zeus asked you to heal us, not talk." I sassed.
"Feisty as before," He smirked his handsome face that would make a normal girl swoon, but it just made me cringe. No person should look perfect.
I made sure we walked in silence as we made our way to Apollo's eye sore of a house, and when I saw eye sore, I mean it was just like his cabin at camp, pure gold. Walking in his house it too was also pure gold. "Don't you ever get a headache looking at all this gold?" Connor asked squinting.
"Nope!" Apollo said cheerfully as he sauntered off and then came back seconds later with medical stuff. "Sit."
He went to me, but I raised my hand. "No, do them first." I said.
"You sure?" I gave him a death glare and he turned to Connor. As he worked by chanting and putting on salves, he kept giving Connor weird stares. "Why are you covered in tiny bite marks?"
"Those damn Karpoi," Connor hissed as Apollo poked one of the bite marks. "If Stratus hadn't been there I would have died for sure."
"Yeah, I don't care." Apollo said. Finally he raised his hand and placed his palm to Connor's forehead and said a chant, and Connor fell backwards unconcious.
"What did you do?!" I asked.
"Calm down, I just put him into a deep sleep. All three of you look utterly exhausted, you need a good sleep."
"I'm not sleeping here." I protested.
"Picky aren't you?" Apollo said moving onto Will. "I'll drive you three to Camp, and place you in your own beds."
As much as I hated the thought of being carried by him, I nodded because it would be nice to fall asleep and wake up in my bed. "Why are you two so wet?" Apollo asked as he worked on a nasty cut on Will's forehead that he must have gotten when we fell from the waterfall.
"Long story." Will muttered not making eye contact with Apollo, not that I don't blame him, it must have been really awkward for him.
"Hey, kid." Apollo said making Will look at him. "You did good."
Will's face reddened, but Apollo was right. "He's right, without you, I would be dead. Thanks for having my back." I said, which made Will's face go an even darker shade of red.
Once Apollo was done he did the same thing he did to Connor and Will instantly fell back asleep, and Apollo turned to me.
He didn't making any remarks which surprised me, but then I realized he was waiting for me to talk. "Apollo..." I asked to a near whisper. He glanced up, "You're the god of prophecy, right?"
"Last time I checked." He replied cleaning my a wound on my neck. "Tiresias showed you the future, didn't he?" I fought back tears, and I nodded because I feared that if I spoke I could start bawling. "And now you're wondering if what you saw is what the future really holds?"
"I don't want to turn out that way." I whimpered.
Apollo finished up, and he kneeled in front of me so that he was looking me straight in the eyes. They didn't hold amusment or micheivous or even vanity like they usually do, instead they were serious.
"Jamie, the future is never set. What Tiresias showed you is just one of the possible outcomes. What he gave you was a gift, now that you saw that future, you can do everything in your power to change it. Your fate will not change, but your journey there is up to you."
