Luke attacks

Two months later, in April, things were going smoothly, or as smoothly as things could go for me considering everything. I continued my education with Malcolm, and Chiron took time out of his day to teach me different things, such as leadership skills and how to control my emotions. I did my weapons training with Clarisse and the Hermes cabin. Tamar uped my wind training to include different weather types, such as rain, snow, hail, and even lightning. Will decided to try to teach me basic healing skills since he thought I was accident prone. So considering everything, my days were busy.

However, with everything going on my mind was so full of everything else, it didn't have time to think about Luke and the impending attack, which would prove to be a mistake in hindsight.

The day it happened seemed like a normal day. The sun was shining, the plants were regrowing, and even the animals were running around. The only odd thing that happened that day that seemed out of the ordinary was a boat that was far off in the distance, but no one seemed to pay it any mind.

When night arrived I went to bed feeling uneasy, the first time in months. I tossed and turned, and then finally I got up and went to the window to let in a the breeze. With it open, the wind rushed in and wrapped around me, making me shut my eyes, but instead of calming me, a bigger sense of dread washed over me.

"Somethings wrong." I said running to my dresser were my weapons were. As I ran down my stairs, I fumbled to clip the sheath onto my belt. I sprinted out of my cabin and ran to the closest cabin, which happened to be the Demeter cabin, and I pounded on the door. "Katie!" I yelled.

The door opened up seconds later to the crazy hair Katie with sleepy eyes, if it were under any other circumstance it would have been a comical sight, but now wasn't the time. "Jamie?" She asked sounding groggy. "What-"

"Something is about to happen." I said stumbling over my words. "Wake the other cabins." I went to sprint off, but Katie grabbed me using her quick reflexes.

"What's about to happen?" She asked wide awake.

I bit my cheek. "I don't know, but it's bad. I can feel it." She hesitated, but nodded letting me go. I sprinted off. "Nimbus!" I yelled as I ran. A whinny sounded and I looked up to see Nimbus in pegasus form. I jumped into the air, and used a bit amount of wind power to propel me up so that I landed on her back. "Up!" I yelled.

She soared up, and I looked down on the camp. I saw as the Demeter campers went to all the cabins waking them up, and the lights started to come on. Scanning the rest of the camp, I saw a light shining near Zeus' Fist. "There!" I said pointing down to it making Nimbus dive. She landed on top of the Fist, and I jumped off.

The light was coming towards me from the tree's, and I grabbed my whip and dagger preparing to fight, already knowing who it was. "Come on out, Luke!" I yelled getting into stance.

"How are you tonight, Jamie?" A cold voice made a chill go down my spine as I saw my hated enemy walk through the treeline. "You look nice."

"Shut up!" I hissed jumping down from the Fist and gliding down until I was on the ground. "You don't deserve to speak to me."

A smirk played across his face making his scar harshen his features. "Your wind abilities have improved." He remarked. "I should assume so has your combat skills."

"Why don't you find out?" I growled snapping my whip quickly. It cracked towards him, but when I thought it would wrap around him, it just passed through him like he was a ghost. Shock passed coursed through me. "What?"

His evil grin grew larger, and he reached his arm out and stuck it through himself, showing that he was indeed transparent. "You didn't really think I was going to approach you in person?" He mocked.
