Josh's POV
Everything was just how it should be. Tyler and I released new music a few weeks ago and we'd be leaving for tour in a few days. To make up for some of the time lost we spent every second with our daughter. Two years after we married, we adopted Sophie. We were a true family and I couldn't be happier. Everytime I walked down the hallway of our new house I'd admire our wedding photo that was hung on the wall. Everytime I caught a glimpse of it I relived that day. The day I watched my soul mate walk down the aisle with a goofy smile and tears in his eyes.
"Dad!" Sophies yell from the kitchen brought me out of my thoughts. With a smile I made my way downstairs and happily walked into the kitchen. "Yes Soph?" I grinned even wider when I poked her cheek and a giggle erupted from her.
"Daddy said we should go out for a walk. Do you want to?" she spoke excitedly with a cyan crayon in her hand. Tyler watched in amusement from where he was leaned up against the kitchen counter.
"A walk sounds like a great idea to me." she smiled once more and revealed her missing teeth.

Once we were at the park Sophie ran off to disturb a flock of pigeons in the parking lot. Tyler and I laughed at our child as she ran back and the pigeons were in the air. We walked in silence while Sophie skipped along the pathway a few feet in front us.
"Our small family." Tyler whispered. I interlocked our fingers and swung our hands back and fourth. The crisp wind blew leaves and the trees swayed. I loved the fall weather. I looked over at my husband. Due to the cold his nose and cheeks were rosy and his gaze remained on Sophie.
"I love you." he turned his head at my words and grinned.
"I love you too." he gave me a quick kiss and Sophie stopped skipping and turned around.
"Dad."
"What?" Both Tyler and I answered and we all giggled.
"Can we get a puppy?" Her question caught Tyler and I off guard yet we looked at each other with a grin.

We ended up getting a dog almost a year later after tour finished. We ended up taking our daughter with us and showed her the world. Having a family still amazed me. I'm so thankful Tyler popped his head into the treehouse that summer day.
