Leading up to now

Chapter Eleven- Lucas

Cassandra wasn't in history. I didn't see her as I walked to music either. Best guess was she'd gone to cry or something. I didn't care. It's not like I fancied her or anything. 

So because she wasn't there lessons kinda went by faster than a fast thing. I made my way home the long way, so I missed the tree and all that stuff. Instead I climbed the cliff to waste the time. Using the rocks sticking out of it's surface, I climbed, pushing my vampire-ness away as I did, being as human as possible did me good. It took away my anger as I gripped the jagged stones, cutting my hands and bruising my legs because of their points. As I reached the top I used the back door to get to the kitchen, as it was never locked.

Vikrum was one step ahead. He sat at the table, tea in one hand, cup of blood in the other. He was looking at me and I sat opposite him. This was gonna be a long talk.

"Lucas..." He said. 

I hated it when he used that tone. It usually went with- 'Lucas...", "X-factor..." or "Barty...". Not so much X-factor, but Gary Barlow really annoys Vikrum.

"What!? I didn't do anything!" I persisted.

"Please. I have a HeadMovie account you know."

"Really? My username is Luc-- No! I did not do anything!"

"Ahem. Geraldissofit says- and I quote- Lucas Birch blew up in my face when I insulted dat Cassie Grey! Lukewhatulike says- Haha lol, little Lucas is such a minger. I'm guessing you got angry... again?"

I sighed. "Fine. FINE. But he insulted Cassandra. I had to do something!"

"Go to your room!" He sighed.

It has to end like this. Cassandra will never talk to me again, Gerald will keep saying bad stuff and insulting her, and I'll be kicked in the dust. As always. I walked to my room and sat on my bed. Ugh. I felt like hitting something. I got up and walked to the window with the tree-view. And now I was delusional. Cassandra was sat under the old tree. Wait a freaking second. CASSANDRA WAS SAT UNDER THE OLD TREE!
