Someone sat next to me and I turned my head to look at Lucas.

“What do you want Lucas?” I asked him.

“Why do hate me?” He said. “I mean we haven’t known each other that long.”

“Because you’re a jerk.” Wow smooth move Cassie. Best answer ever!

“So you’ve said Cassandra.” His voice seemed like it had years to practice how to have the most beautiful voice ever.

“You have really nice voice.” I told him and slapped my face. He sat laughing next to me. “No, I mean… ugh!” I sighed in defeat I didn’t want to have to explain what I meant to this jerk.

“Do you have HeadMovie?” He asked and I nodded. “Do you have Gerald on it?”

“Uhm yes,” I pulled out my phone and clicked on Geraldissofit profile. “See.” I showed him and he pointed to a status on Gerald’s page that read. ‘Lucas Birch blew up in my face when I insulted dat Cassie Grey!’ Lucas was standing up for me. Gerald the piece of shit he is was going to get it at school tomorrow. “How did he insult me?” I whispered frowning.

“He said you were his toy.” He mumbled. “See I was standing up for you, I didn’t do it because I was jealous.”

“Sorry for being a bitch to you.” I muttered and saw Lucas smiling at me. “Why are you looking at me like that?” I asked.

“You are something different Cassandra Grey.” He said to himself, he wasn’t looking at me when he said it.

“You are weird, I like being called Cassie and I’m sure you’ve heard people call me Cassie but you still call me Cassandra why?”

“It has a classy ring to it.” He smiled at me as I blushed. Why the hell am I blushing?

“It old-fashioned as in like before everything. Cassandra was used a lot of time in history. Always for the girls who fall for the wrong boy. It’s stupid I hate it.” I said.

“History ain’t as bad as you think, I’ve seen a lot…” He stopped himself before he said anything else.

“You’re seventeen, unless you can time travel or you’re like Stefan Salvatore.” I said and laughed.

“TV shows, I meant. Stefan Salvatore?”

“Vampire Diaries get a clue Lucas.” I told him. “I should be going, it was actually nice talking to you. But we’ll be back to hating each other tomorrow.” I started to leave.

“Cassandra.” He said and I turned. “Oh. Nothing.”

I shrugged it off and kept walking home, when I got in I ate my dinner with quietly and did my homework before falling asleep quickly. What a stressful little town Noosedale can be.
