The image was of Savvy and Cassandra on her bed, chatting, then making the short journey to the tree by my house. I studied the image, and noticed that this was, effectively, the present. They were outside my house NOW.
I ran to the window and, sure enough, there they were. Cassandra was laughing, tipping her head back. The two scars on her neck were as prominent as ever. I'd nearly forgotten about the fact she may or may not be a half vampire.
Hold up, I'll give you an explanation. For a person to become a vampire, the vampire must drink their blood. If they get cut off, and they only manage to get a little blood from the human, the said human will become half vampire. This means that all physical aspects will perk up- Brains, beauty, strength. The only negative is it shortens your lifespan by about 10 years, and the only cure is, well, to complete the transaction. The vampire has to drink the human's blood, and inject his venom.
I tuned into their conversation, and it came as a surprise when I heard my name in the running.
"And what does he SMELL like?" Savvy persisted, grinning.
"Um. Vanilla. And strawberries. And aftershave."
"Ohmigod. And what does his hair feel like?"
"Savvy!"
"What?"
"Stop it. I can't believe you even brought me here."
Savvy shrugged and picked a berry from the tree. She studied it for a minute before crushing it between her finger tips and liking the juices from her hand. Mental that one.
"I agree." Barty sighed from my feet, "Her thoughts are crazy!"
"You can't just tune into others thoughts!"
"Yes, because what you're doing now is perfectly fine." He hissed, stalking away.
I sighed and closed the window.
Now I'm the mental one. Actually listening to my cat.
