I rubbed my eyes and looked around, where am I? I stood up heading towards the front door, I opened it and ran outside. What happened? I rubbed my neck, feeling tired. I let my feet take me anywhere, I kept walking and walking.

“Cassie?!” A girl with brown hair and big brown eyes ran up to me, pulling me to her small frame. “Where have you been?” She kept talking as I frowned looking at her, who the hell is she?

“I’m sorry, but who are you?” I asked and I saw her mouth form into an ‘O’ shape. “Is everything alright?”

“I’m Savannah, I’m your friend. Do you not remember?” She held her hand out. “I’ll take you home.”

Come to think of it, this place doesn’t look like New York. Where are my parents?

“This isn’t New York. Where am I?” I said and she led me into a fairly sized house, I saw my godfather, man last time I saw him I was only little. I’m surprised I remember him. “Uncle John? I haven’t seen you in years.” I wrap my arms around his body as Savannah tells them something, I didn’t listen. I mean why would I listen?

“Cassie?” I turn to face my Aunt Fiona. “What happened?”

“Where’s my mum?” I ask as they hand me coffee. They all look at each other. “Where am I?”

“You’re in Noosedale, we took you into our care because there was a crash, you’re parent’s didn’t make it sweetie.” My Aunt Fiona said and my cup of coffee smashed off the floor. “Do you not remember?”

“I don’t remember a lot.” I let some tears slip out, as my Aunt Fiona held me against her chest.

Uncle John showed me to my room, I changed into pyjama bottoms and a vest top, I couldn’t sleep. All my life, gone. I sat on the window seat looking out the window. I saw a little black cat walk across the garden, it was a cute little thing.

I sighed, pulling my knees to my chest. I don’t understand how I could have forgotten I was in a crash. I picked up a book and read it, until I fell asleep.
