This party was in full swing, everyone was dancing and drinking. Savvy pulled me into the kitchen, we were pretty drunk every time she stumbled, and I’d stumble.

Beyoncé’s song irreplaceable was blaring out of the speakers, me and Savvy were dancing.

“Everything you own in box to the left.” We sang together. Two guys came up and held our hips as we danced.

Savvy started to make out with her guy and the guy who was dancing with me tried to but I pushed him off.

“No, sorry.” I shook my head and went outside. I had a voicemail.

“Hey Cassandra, it’s Lucas. I was just talking to my cat- er, cousin, and he suggested I call you, so here I am! I just wondered, would you like to go to Pastarama on Sunday? Just to talk. Er. Bye?”

“End of voicemail.”

Did Lucas Birch ask me out on a date? I’ll phone him to find out if it is a date or not. Yeah don’t want to think it’s a date when it’s not. Damn just phone him.

“Hey Lucas, it’s me Cassi-Cassandra.” I said and smiled.

“Hey, did you get my message?” He said.

“What message?” I asked, playing with him to find out if it was a date or not.

“Uh.I…Uh…Pasta! I mean, you and me, Pastarama, tomorrow? Please?” He stuttered making me laugh.

“Is this you asking me on a date?” I teased him.

“Uh. No. I just wanted to talk about…Stuff?”

“What kind of stuff?”

“Stuff stuff. I have to go, my cat – Dang! Cousin needs me.” He said in a rush and hung up.

Oh no he did not just hang up on me, I walk into the house and find Savvy.

“I’m going to see Lucas.” I shout at her and she slaps my ass as I walk away. This is like a twenty mile journey, okay so I’m exaggerating a little. I’m drunk and wearing high heels. I walk into Lucas’s house and take my heels off. “Lucas! Get down here!” I shout once I fall onto his extra comfy couch.

“What the hell are doing on my couch?! Dang, where’s a lamp when you need one?!” Lucas shouted at me.

“You wanted to talk about stuff, well here I am. Also I am lying on your couch, it’s so comfy.” I said slurring my words a bit hoping he doesn’t notice I’m drunk.

“I notice you’re drunk.” He said.

“Way too state the obvious. I notice you’re a jerk.” I replied and smiled.

“Aha. Okay. Do you want a coffee or something?”

“How about vodka?”

“How about no? Sit up and let me get you a coffee.” He told me and I sat up.

“You’re no fun.” I pouted at him.

“You’re idea of fun is being so drunk you can’t even sit up straight?”

“Yes because I am young also sitting up straight doofus.”

“Okay. Shut up and stay there. I’m going to make coffee.” He told me and walked into the kitchen.

“Shut up and stay there.” I mocked him to myself and started laughing. “Blacky come here.” He hopped on my lap. “He’s jerk.” I whispered to Blacky and smiled.
