Chapter 1

CAITLYN'S POV

Kasulukuyan kami nandito sa kotse. Naa-out of place ako dahil nasa likod lang ako ng pamilya ko. Nagu-usap sila sa harap habang ako nakikinig sa usapan. Napabuga naman ako ng hangin dala ng pagkaburyo. Hindi ko alam kung saan kami pupunta dahil pinag-impake ako ng mommy ko dahil may pupuntahan raw kami.

"Mom , where are we going? Ang dami naman ata ng dala nating bagahe. Are we moving out tho?" Tanong ko.

She looked at me while putting her lipstick on. "Ask your dad. But i think, you'll find out soon tho." Sagot niya.

Napailing na lang ako at tumingin sa katabing bintana ko. Sinuot ko rin ang earphones ko at nakinig sa mga music dito sa cellphone ko.

Ilang sandali pa ay nakarating kami sa mall. Like what? Anong naman gagawin namin sa mall? Tss.

" Dad? What are we doing here?" Tanong ko.

"May ime-meet kami ng mommy mo. Let's just wait them for a minute." Sagot niya na ikinatango ko.

"Okay. I'll go to the comfort room first!" Paalam ko.

Tumango naman siya kaya tumalikod ako. Saktong may narinig akong may tinatawag ang daddy ko. Pinagkibit-balikat ko na lang yun, mukhang nandito na yung hinahanap ng daddy. Napatingin ako sa kasabay kong lalaki, napakunot ang noo ko nang makita kong nakatungo ito. He's really familiar.

Pagkatapos kong mag-cr lumabas na ako, medyo nagulat pa nga ako dahil kasabay ko na naman yung lalaking nakasabay kong pumasok ng cr earlier.

Nakita ko naman si Dad kaya lumapit agad ako sa kanya. Nang matanaw ko sila Dad, ay binilisan ko ang paglalakad. I called him and to my surprise, kasabay sumabay naman sa pagtawag yung stranger na 'to.

I looked at him, i was about to argue when i saw his face smirking at me. "Wow, you must be in my nightmare last night, that's why you're here." Sabi ko.

I heard his laughed. "Are you shocked?"

I rolled my eyes at him. "A lot. And dad, wanna say something about this?" I asked while looking sa taong pinagkanulo ko ng ilang taon

He's my childhood best friend, the last time we've met was few years ago. The reason why i hate him was he betrayed me, i left him without him knowing.

I saw Joshua's Father looking at me, nginitian ko siya at nagmano. "Is this your only daughter? Napakalaki na niya at napakagandang bata!" He praised.

I smiled. "Thank you, Tito."

"She is. Pasensya na kung ngayon niyo lang nakita si Caitlyn. I assume, naninibago ang unica hija ko because it's been a long time since nung nagkita sila ni Joshua." Sabi niya.

"Do you still know him, hija? Your childhood bestfriend?" Tito asked.

I smiled at Tito, kahit pilit. "Yes, Tito! Your son grew up well, ang laki na nga po ng pinagbago niya like before." Sabi ko.

"Let's not make this a long conversation, btw. Since we're here, i would like to ask if you can let my daughter stay at your house for a month since we have a business trip together?" Tanong ni Dad kay Tito.

Nanlaki ang mata ko nang marinig ko ang sinabi ni Dad, tinignan ko si Joshua ng masama. "You knew this, don't you?" I asked.

Tinaas niya ang kanyang kamay at ngumisi. "I don't know anything, mi amor!" He said.

"Of course! Mas maganda nga 'yon para makapag-bonding ang mga anak ko sa kanya. Would it be better to have your sons also?" Tanong ni Tito.

I heard Dad's laughed. "They're still not here in the Philippines pa. They'll be coming soon after they graduate." Sagot ni Dad.

Lumapit ako kay Dad. "Dad? What did you just say? You're gonna leave me with this idiot?" I asked in a low voice only, they might hear me.

"Anak, no buts okay? This is better for you, and it's just a month lang naman. I know that you'll survive after this." Sabi niya.

Tinignan ko si Mom to ask some help over here, pero umiling siya. "I can't help you with this, anak. Your father decided this." She said.

"What are we waiting for? Baka malate tayo sa flight natin! And Joshua, take care of her okay? I trust you because you're my son." Sabi ni Tito, while they're getting ready to leave.

Dad handed my things to Joshua. "Sige, Dad! Have a safe flight, 'yall!" Paalam niya while waving at them.

I rolled my eyes at him, kinuha ko sa kanya ang maleta at gym bag ko. Why the hell is this happening tho?

"C'mon, mi amor. Don't be so harsh on me, give me your things!" He said.

I stopped him. "Can you just stop calling me with other names? I have my own name, you know that well right?" Sabi ko.

"wow, someone's looking very angry!" He teased.

Hindi ko siya pinansin, naglakad ako palabas ng mall. I'm just gonna wait for taxi or grab and go home. I think i can handle myself well.

"Teka, di ka sasama sakin?" Tanong niya.

Tinignan ko siya. "Well, would it be better if sumama ako sayo? And to stop this shit, i'm just gonna go home." Sagot ko.

"Let me ask you, sa tingin mo di magr-react si Tito for your decision?" Tanong niya.

Di ko siya pinansin, i waved my hand nang may matanaw akong taxi na vacant. It stopped in front of me, i was about to open the car door pero pinigilan ako ni Joshua.

"Manong, hindi po siya sasakay!" He said.

"What the actual fxck, Joshua? What do you think you're doing?" I shouted.

Tinignan niya ko. "You know what, nauubusan ako ng pasensya sayo."

"As you should. You should not care about me, anyway! We're not that close." Sabi ko saka naglakad palayo.

But to my surprise, Joshua lifted me and put me into his shoulders like a sack of rice. Habang nasa kabilang side naman yung mga gamit ko.

"This is kidnapping! Put me down!" I shouted.

He carefully put me down, pero sa loob na ng kotse. He smirked at me. "Then, call the police! Baka samahan pa kita magsumbong." He said.

"Fxck you!"

"Whoa, I had no idea you could curse so well."
