Uncle Benny's POV

I called the king. He took one look at my brother and started to leave.

"No! Wait" I yelled.

"How dare you bring him? I answer your calls out of respect for my dead daughter and my sweet Lucy. But you know how I feel about HIM!" He boomed and I felt the wind shake.

"I know and respect your feelings your majesty. But you need to listen for Lucy's sake" I pleaded.

"I will listen for my granddaughters sake. But nothing has changed between him and I" the king said glaring at my brother. Fredrick told the King everything. The contract being broken, the presence in Lucy's room. How he was going to have to tell her everything including the mermaids connection to her. It was the only way to protect her.

"You should have given her to us when her mother died. We could have protected her. You sure have made a mess of things haven't you boy" the King bellowed.

"Hey I do.." I started to defend my brother. Fredrick put up his hand to stop me.

"He's right" he said to me and than turned to the king. "You have every right to hate me. But I need your help, no I'm begging for it to save Lucy" Fredrick said.

"For Lucy I will do anything even call a truce with a creature like you. She is her mothers daughter" the King sighed.

"Yes she is" Fredrick and I said at the same time. We left the King and headed home to talk to Lucy.

Rebeca's POV

Lucy had been gone almost the whole lunch period. Where could she be? Then I felt them walking towards me. They sat down and my skin started to crawl.

"We know what you are" Adonis said.

"I know what you are too. And you both better stay away from Lucy" I whispered yelled at them.

"What the hell gives you the right to tell us to stay away from her" Maverick yelled raising his voice.

"Lower your voice man keep it cool" Adonis said putting his hand on Mavericks shoulder.

"Not what but who" I said.

"What" they said in unison.

"Jasmine you know the name, Lucy's mother. She was a great friend to my king and queen to all of my kind. And your kind took her from us. Lucy is under our protection. My King and Queen give me the right to tell you to stay away from Lucy" I spat at them.

"Her mothers death was not our fault. We are apart of her destiny. You and her father can't stop it" Adonis said so gently. He was smooth you had to give him points for that. They trained him well.

"You two don't even know her. Don't make her apart of your silly war. She's kind an innocent. Just leave her be" I almost pleaded with Adonis. Trying to appeal to the good in him.

"Who's fault is it we don't know her. You all kept her hidden from us. Hell you kept her hidden from herself. Does she even know what you are?" Maverick sneered at me.

"Yes I'm her best friend" I said with pride. Even though I knew that's not what he meant. But it sure felt a little good to piss him off. I did not like him and I wasn't going to let either one of them hurt Lucy. She was more than an assignment she was like a sister.

"I don't have two listen to you or him. I can do what ever I want. And I want Lucy" Maverick said and stormed off.

"Ooo don't you ever want to throttle him" I said.

"Often but he's got a couple of points.

1. None of you have authority over us.

2. Now that we have found her we can't walk away. Its more than a want it's a need. We need to be near her and she can feel it two" Adonis said.

"I know and it scares the hell out of her" I said.

"That's because she doesn't know. How is that even possible? Hasn't she shown signs of powers" he asked?

"Why should I tell you anything" I said.

"Why not? I'm not asking anything she wont tell me once she knows" he said as he grinned. Dam he was good.

"Three so far" I said. He raised his eyebrows.

"That's impressive, what are they" he asked genially curious.

"Well as you know she can freeze time. She has the ability to heal herself and probably others. Although she hasn't tried. But most of your kind can do that. Just recently she was getting a beaten from that witch. And she wished that she could feel her pain and the witch did" I said as I cringed at the thought of her hurting Lucy.

"Yeah I was there for the end of that one. I healed her. I couldn't stand those blisters on her beautiful face" he said with a sad tone. "With all the power you, her father, her uncle and the mermaids have how come any of you let that witch even touch her" he said.

"I did what I could without revealing myself. Witch is against the rules. Her father and uncle were trapped by that stupid contract. And I don't know about the mermaids. Wait how do you know about them" I said.

"Well I wasn't sure until this moment. But I figured since she was half" he said with mischievous grin.

"Ugh you tricked me" I said angrily.

"I'm sorry you can't blame a guy for wanting to know what he is up against. How has anybody explained why she can do what she can do. No don't I can tell by look on your face nobody has. That must be confusing for her. Everybody has the right to know who they are" he said with a protectiveness to his voice.

"Just leave her alone. She's beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. You know one time she found a butterfly with a broken wing. She spent three weeks nursing it back to health. And cried when the time came to let it go. She said if you really love somebody you have to give them room to fly. The kids in this school were cruel to her before I came. Now they just ignore her. And still she's the first one to volunteer to help, when help is needed. If you draw her into this you will end up changing her" I said

"We can't stop it even if we wanted to. Its bigger than all of us" Adonis said.

Then some woman from the office walked up and handed me a note. I know all the color must have drained from my face. By look on Adonis's face.

"What's wrong" Adonis asked?

"I have to go" and I ran out. I had a bad feeling really bad.

Lucy's POV

I woke up tied to a chair with something over my face. How and what happened? Then I remembered my evil stepmom stuck me with a needle what the hell. She really has lost her mind.
