Everybody Wants Lucy {Ch.10}

Lucy's POV

We had left Moe and were just walking. I promised Moe I would come see him and some of his friends tomorrow. Dietrich wasn't happy about this so he was pouting. I couldn't believe how childish he was being. But I still didn't like it when he was upset. Then we stumble on a beach it was so beautiful. Even though the colors were different the water still shined and it felt welcoming to me.

"I want to go for a swim" I said.

"No you can't" he said.

I waited for a reason when none came I started to take off my shoes.

"I said no" he said

"Yes but you didn't say why" I said.

"Well I shouldn't have to because I know this world and you don't. Plus I'm your warrior and you should trust me" he said.

"I do trust you. I came to the dragon kingdom with you. I have believed everything you told me. Considering I just met you I don't think its to much to ask for a reason" I said.

"Sleathers" he said.

"What" I asked?

"Half fish half dragon and all evil" he said.

"Are you serious" I asked?

"I told you I'm bound to you. I have to tell you the truth" he said sounding annoyed. And he was starting to piss me off with his attitude.

"Why do you say their evil" I said

"The are the sons and daughters of the dark dragon. And they kill our kind, so you need to stay out of the water. Because you are female they would do terrible things to you before they kill you" he said.

"How do you know? Have you talked to them" I asked?

"You can't talk to them. And any dragon who has ever been caught by them has never lived to talk about it" he said.

"Well then how do you know for sure" I asked?

I could tell he was getting mad. But I wanted to know everything about this new world I was suddenly apart of. And he had preconceived opinions about people like the dragonfly's. I wanted to form my own opinions. Then I heard what sounded like a child crying and flailing in the water. I started to strip down to my skivvies which covered about as much as a bikini would.

"What are you doing" Dietrich asked as he cover his eyes?

"Somebody's in trouble can't you hear" I said.

"Its probably a trick by the sleathers" he said.

You don't know that" I said

"Princess its my job to protect you and I can not let you go into the water" he said grabbing my arm.

I knew he didn't mean me harm. But because of my stepmother I didn't like to be touched especially against my will. And I was tired of people telling me what to do.

" You can't tell me what to do. Now let go of me" I said.

"I'm sorry princess I didn't want to do this until you were used to our world but I must keep you safe" he said.

Then right before my eyes he started to change. He started to grow bigger and his skin change to a reddish color. His fingers changed into claws. He was a dragon but more beautiful then any picture I had ever seen. His skin wasn't scaly but felt like silk. Then he picked me up like I was a piece of paper and started to walk away from the water. I remembered the person in trouble and started to struggle. But it was no use he was to strong. I was getting angry once again somebody was taking away my right to choose for myself.
