Everybody Wants Lucy {Ch.4}

Benny's POV

I was on my back to my house with some of their stuff the rest would be there later. I walked in and my brother was in my kitchen cooking. I haven't seen him like this since before he lost her.

"Where are all your cooking utensils" He asked?

"My what" I said and then I looked at him. Wearing an apron and started laughing my head off. "Who are you and where is my grumpy brother. Not that I'm complaining but I was just wondering" I said.

"Well for the first time in long time I feel free" he said.

"What happened what about the contract" I asked?

"She beat Lucy again and I had enough. My soul be dammed, I was going to break it. Then I went in to check on Lucy like I did every night. And I smelled them they found her" he said. My head shot up, I could feel the panic rise up inside me.

"Are you sure? This is not good what are we going to do" I asked?

"I don't know? But it frees me from the witch's contract. Her end of the contract said she had to keep them from finding Lucy, she failed" he said.

"You know your going to have to tell Lucy everything" I said.

"I know but not today its her birthday we are free. And I just want to give her this birthday. Since I messed up so many others" he said.

"Are you cooking for her. Because if you want her to have a good day we should order in" I laughed and he hit at me and missed.

"If you two are done playing around. Fredrick you want to tall me what's going on since your brother wouldn't" Esmeralda demanded.

"Its over Lucy and I are moving out" my brother announced with a lot of force.

"You can't you will dam your's and Lucy's souls, we have a contract" she said.

"Yes one you tricked me into and you also broke" Fredrick said.

"What are you talking about" she said.

"Some super witch you are there was one in the house last night. You were supposed to stop them from finding her you failed. Now get out of my brother's house. And don't ever come near Lucy or myself again." My brother shouted at her. She turned around and left in a huff.

"You haven't heard the last of her? You know that right" I asked?

"She's the least of our worries. If they know where Lucy is. How do we keep her safe? She's going to be drawn to them. Look how easily she found the mermaids when she was so young" Fredrick said.

"You said you were ok with her talking to them" I said

"I am, they are her family. Except the Brady kid. The king raised him as his own when his parents died. They are as innocent in all this as Lucy. I took their beloved princess away from them. Then I got her killed. They deserve time with Lucy. I am just glad they agreed not to tell her. I suppose I should go talk to my in-laws before I talk to Lucy" he sighed.

"I should go with you. The kings not very happy with you. He wont answer your call" I said. He nodded and we left to go find the mermaid king.

Lucy's POV

I was telling Rebeca about the two strange boys. And all she kept doing was asking me about their looks. Sometimes she was a little boy crazy.

"Rebeca your not listening. It didn't work on them." I said, more than a little frustrated.

"By it I assume you mean your powers" she said.

"Don't call it that" I said. I got nervous when ever she referred to the strange things that happened as powers or gifts. I'm not sure why I just did.

"Look the dangerous one said you were like him. And the nice one said he would tell you everything. So you just have to wait until you see them again" Rebeca said as we walked to lunch.

"Well maybe I shouldn't see them again. It feels wrong. But I need to know what I am. What should I do" I asked?

"I'm not sure but you know what I always say when faced with a choice. A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new. I am sure it will be ok to talk to the nice one" come on I'm starving. We walked into the cafeteria and there was a bunch of girls swarmed around this one table like bees to a hive. We went to get our food.

"What's that about" Rebeca asked?

"I don't know with the fickle girls in this school it could be the flavor of the month. Or the captain of the football team learned how to tie his shoes." I said and we both laughed. Then we got closer and some of the girls parted. I froze when I saw who it was.

"Lucy what's wrong are you ok" Rebeca asked in a concerned voice.

"IIIts ttthem" I stuttered. And they saw me and started walking towards me.

"Hey sexy who's your friend" Maverick asked?

"Her name is Rebeca and I told you not to call me that" I said.

"Sweet Lucy forgive Maverick's rudeness. How is your arm? It's a pleasure to meet you Rebeca would you ladies like to join us" Adonis asked?

"Its fine and no you have to many people at your table. Big groups make me nervous" I said.

"We could go outside where it is a little more private" he said.

Then this guy from one of my classes came up and said they wanted to see me in the office right away. I made my goodbyes and ran to the office. I told Rebeca not to be alone with those two until we knew more about them. When I arrived in the office stepwitch was there.

"What do you want" I hissed at her.

"Oh Lucy there has been an accident its your father and uncle. Their in the hospital" she said with tears.

"I have my own car" I said.

"We will come back for it lets go, you can't see them without an adult. There in intensive care" she said. I gave the receptionist my keys and note asking her to give it to Rebeca. The note told Rebeca what happened and to take my car home. I would get it from her later.
