Lucy's POV

I woke up showered and dressed. I was standing in front of Dietrich's door. We had a long talk with uncle and dad yesterday. They said we had to go to school, Dietrich was already enrolled. They told the school he was my cousin and would be living with us for awhile. Rebeca and Ryan would be here soon. Ryan had transferred as far as the school is concerned. I thought school was going to pale in comparison to some of the amazing things I have seen in the supernatural realms. But at least I could have some fun waking Dietrich up. When I snuck in he was still sleeping. I walked over to the bed then jumped on it and started bouncing up and down.

"Wake up wake up" I shouted.

He jumped out of bed and took a defense position.

"What what's the matter are you under attack" he asked? A little hyper, then I started laughing.

"No silly its time for school. I just wanted to make sure you were up" I said.

"Miss Lucy that totally wasn't necessary" he said.

"Maybe not but it sure was funny" I said.

"I don't understand why we have to go. There isn't any thing useful these humans can teach you" he said.

"There you go being a snob again. And you don't have to go But dad said I have to understand all creatures. That includes humans" I said.

"I go where you go but I still don't get it" he said.

"Oh get dressed I will see you downstairs. Besides it wont be all bad Rebeca will be there" I said. A smile crossed his face and I chuckled as I left the room.

I was sitting at the island in the kitchen when he walked in. I made us cereal he sat down and stared at his.

"What is this" he asked?

"Its coco puffs try it you will love it" I said.

"Its human food so I doubt that" he said.

He was getting on my nerves with this humans are beneath us attitude. Everybody is special in some way. I was about to say so when Rebeca and Ryan walked in.

"Good morning Lucy, hey handsome" Rebeca said as she kissed Dietrich on the cheek.

"Dietrich" (Ryan said as he nodded to him. Then he turned to me.) "Hello beautiful" Ryan said.

"Hi guys" I said. Then there was a knock at the door.

I opened the door and almost fainted. In front of me stood Brady and Arena. With legs and clothes.

"What are you guys doing here like that" I said pointing at their legs.

"I know how do you ever get used to these things" Arena said.

"I could say the same about the tail thing" Dietrich said.

Everybody laughed but me. I was getting annoyed. First Dietrich and his holier than thou attitude. Then Arena and Brady checking up on me like I can't take care of myself.

"What are you doing here" I asked with an irritated tone?

"Well our dad and your dad thought it might be a good idea if you had a little extra protection. And some friends why you learn to control your powers around humans" Arena said.

"Ugg I can take care of myself" I said.

"Its different around humans" Brady said.

"What would you know about it. You don't even come to land that much" I said.
